I have to agree with Fernley on the hokiesports.com comment.
It seems that they could do a little better. The website has a bit of a "Wayne and Garth" feel to it. You never quite know if it's going to work or not. Maybe just a few comments to say the site will be up five minutes before the presser?
A lot of live feeds are like that, however.
Hokiesports.com also says that it'll be airing on the stations in the NRV, so I checked, and WBDJ looks like they will be streaming as well.

I'm glad they caught it. Typical for that to happen, and something nobody needs to hear gets said.
Luckily it was a very innocuous hot mic. Compliments to Beamer, run-through of the schedule, and some chit-chat.

ESPNU just issued an alert that Vick is calling in to discuss Beamer's retirement. I am fairly certain he saw the bullshit ESPN is pulling by not showing Beamer and called in to say "WTF. I got something to say"

In classic Beamer style, Frank defers a lot of his success to his coaches and all of the people at VT that he has worked for for so long to help build what VT is today. And that is certainly true. But so is this:

I feel bad for the rest of the teams we play. I'm not saying that we definitely win out but these guys are going to play ten times harder than they ever had in their life, and just for Frank.
Indeed. The past few years have been plagued by inconsistency, but I am more certain than ever that we will see the best effort and attitude from all of our guys until the last whistle blows on this season, whenever that may be.

Seeing him and his wife up there teary eyed on the podium finally made it real for me. Such an incredible and selfless person, Hokie fans can not thank him enough for what he has done for our football program and entire school. Lets get that statue of him up asap.
