2015 Six Pick - Week Ten

I'm not going to lie, I'm blank this week. Even if, like Beamer, I believed it was time, the roller coaster of emotions is real. Announcing on a bye week was another smart and caring move, because if I'm having a hard time this week, I can only imagine on how it's going with the staff and players. I'll think I'll go re-read some Frank articles.

Saturday, November 7th
Notre Dame -8.5 at Pittsburgh
12:00 pm ABC

  • If Pitt wants to us to think they are secretly good, it would behoove them to actually beat one of the good teams on their schedule
  • Class, it's about time the most visible and storied program in college football had a coach who demonstrated some

Pick: Pitt getting the points, losing by a touchdown.

  • You know Tarheels fans like to crap on dookies, they have their own group of fans that are dorky, in the classy southern gentleman way, of course
  • Last week was a bad beat, the worst kind of beat out there. Beat UNC this week, it won't mean that much at all though

Pick: Duke getting the points, keeping it within a touchdown ... maybe winning out.

  • I'm a man, my team scores 70 (and gives up over fitty) ... hard to think they can't keep surviving week to week like that
  • Speaking of points, a certain Heisman finalist, TCU QB Trevone Boykin and the Horned Frogs are going to drop 60 that Pokes defense in just another 5 hour B12 game

Pick: TCU putting an absolute beating on the Pokes.

  • Dabo has exorcised Clemsoning and Sakerlina, that leaves FSU as his next beast to slay ... do that and a playoff birth looks inevitable
  • I know FSU has just had a great 2 year run and lost lots of players to the NFL, but what's the point of having annual top 5 recruiting classes and not running the "lowly ACC"

Pick: FSU getting the points, they'll keep it relatively close, but the Tigers will win.

  • Fuente has Memphis at 7-0 and on a collision course with Houston, but they can't overlook Navy, who'll get after ya. Also, don't mind me, I'm just scouting how Memphis defends the triple option
  • Navy at 6-1 deserves a P6 game of the week and as everyone knows their offense needs to be prepared for or it will embarrass you

Pick: Navy getting the points, losing by 3-7 points.

  • Alabama doesn't have a dynasty. Alabama is still damn good. Both things can and are true.

Smartmouth Porter, III

Duke at North Carolina -7.5 : Don't know who'll win, but it won't be by more than 7
TCU -5.5 at Oklahoma State : Okie Lite has been playing with fire all season. Boykin's gonna pour gasoline all over that.
Florida State at Clemson -12.5 : Looks like Dalvin Cook may be back in the lineup. If he plays, they'll be able to keep it close.
Navy at Memphis -7.5 : Fuente's looking to polish up that resume for what should be a very profitable offseason.
LSU at Alabama -6.5 : Never say never, but NEVER bet against Leonard Fournette.
