I love giftory. It's the highlight of the post Hokies Win Celebration. But I can't stand to watch Georgia Tech's cut blocks. It infuriates me sooo much.

But GO HOKIES!

I have no idea why my username is VT_Warthog.

Arkansas blew a 24-0 lead in the Belk Bowl.

Missle mode. Hello Moto.

That's hello moto and hello VT defense in general. This hit was a turning point in the game. We got a bevy of gifts in the 4th but after this play, I had no concerns whatsoever about the D doing their part.

"How you doin', Randy?"

TV was saying "you gotta stick to your assignment...you gotta stick to your assignment..." the whole first part of the game, as Moto kept getting drawn inside. Then finally something clicked. I was like "yessss..."

Motu was an absolute ball hawk all game!

Wow great job putting this together!
I had the same pissed off look Beamer had after that turnover. Actually, I've had that same look after most of the offensive play calls when McMillian doesn't get the ball the last few games.

fair point. But I think that pissed off Beamer gif was after Brewer burned a TO early in the game, not after the turnover.

If Georgia Tech ever decides to fire CPJ, I think he'd make a good 2nd string hokie bird:

FOSTERS: Australian for defense

This deserves all the legs. Nice work.

I don't get it. It's a picture of two identical turkeys.

Favorite giftory ever. I am relishing every minute of the rest of this season. Win or lose, love the memories of Beamer. Never find another. Thanks again Frank, for everything.

Is it just me or does Shegog just get tackled on that first gif?

He did.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

And is it just me or does GT false start on like half of their snaps?

it's just you

Been saying it since 08 bro

"That kid you're talking to right there, I think he played his nuts off! And you can quote me on that shit!" -Bud Foster

it doesn't really matter how long you've been saying it, bro.

If they false started as often as you think then they would get called for it far more often than they currently do. I don't think the officiating is that horrendous to miss false starts every other snap.

The center doesn't really move immediately after snapping the ball. I'm not certain why, maybe because linebackers key on the center in most cases because they're typically the first lineman to move at the snap (since, ya'know, they're the one snapping the ball). By training the center not to move his body or head until after he snaps the ball it could freeze the linebackers for a half second if they're keying on him.

Onward and upward

I wasn't being literal man, but the center not moving for a second after snapping the ball might help explain why it looks like that to my relatively untrained eye.

it's all good..I'm just busting your chops. have some legs :)

It is all about the movement of the ball

I said the same thing a few weeks ago haha. We need a PSA or something.

ok!

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

The Maddy roll!!!

"Take care of the little things and the big things will come."

That top sign was mine! (well, technically my wife's) Glad it got some TV time

We are the Hokies. We will prevail. We will prevail. We will prevail. We are Virginia Tech.

Oh my God, I don't know why but that Nintendo caption made me laugh for like 5 minutes straight.

I will say this for as much as Moto has been maligned all year, his last two games he has been a DUDE!

I'm looking forward to the full recap. I missed the 2nd half of this game, but judging from what I've heard, and the little I've seen here, dare I say the light may have finally come on for him?

Will have to see more of his play the rest of this year to be sure, but he looked to be running to the ball with purpose instead of thinking his way into a blocker.

All that said -- GT is a bad football team in a lot of regards this year.

Their blocking is atrocious.

yeah - I am going to be interested to see French's review. I believe that it's one thing to stand in the box, fight off blockers, find the bubble, and attack the ball carrier and quite another to stand back 7 yards from the LOS and read the pitch. He certainly had some monster plays and I am hopeful the light is going on for him, but I continue to see him get swallowed up by the big bodies and run over by blocking backs. My understanding is that he's got to learn how to take on blockers and shed them to be an effective mike.

I noticed that Motu was lining up further from the line pretty consistently. That may have been a GT game decision, but it sure helped him scrape and stay away form the DL-OL mess in front of him in this game.
If UNC has a running game between the tackles they could exploit that. Yes, French's review will be great to read.
He definitely had his best game as a Hokie, IMHO.

Pain is Temporary, Chicks Dig Scars
Glory is Forever, Let's Go Hokies!!

The only reason Motu has been "bad" is because of lack of inexperience, not necessarily the lack of talent. He's getting better. Better angles, better at finding his gap, covering his man better, and using better tackling technique.

I don't think lack of inexperience is his problem. If anything, I'd like to see him get less and less inexperience...

these make me happy. BTW, is it legal to smack a guy in the mouth like Dadi did in that one clip where he blows past #70?

I don't know if it was "legal", but considering that I didn't see anything out of #70 that would have made me want him on our team, I'm ok with that.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Nigel Williams pulled off the Tecmo Super Bowl nose tackle glitch.

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

Techmo Bowl. Oh, how I love it when we win. the only thing that would be better is if Chinballs would have been on the receiving end of an errant Moto Missile

Am I seriously going to be the first to comment that Shane has the "Hot wife" box checked on his resume? SMH.

I suppose so, given that it's unrelated to anything in this post.

"Exit light..."

GIF #5, Emily & Cheryl Beamer celebrating. That's gotta be more related than Techmo?

Ah, when I saw that I thought it was his sister Casey.

"Exit light..."

the pitch always makes me think of an elementary school kid "I don't wanna get hit. Here, you take it." especially gif #9 where Motu demolishes the pitch man.
