What our neighbors in Radford are up to...

This is not football (or VT sports related)...but a pretty funny story from our "Little Brothers and Sisters" in Radford.

Let the joking begin.

"I think I got the best education ever. I wouldn't go to another school in Virginia for a journalism or communications degree," she said.

Just let that sink in for a while. While this could be ripped to shreds, I'll save that for another time and just say at least someone feels they even received an education there. (Though Quadfest was a joke this year so maybe people actually are studying/learning/something?)

I'm sure their media studies program is the best around in Virgina.

Everything about this story is pretty funny but denigrating a person's education seems like something #LOLUVA would do. Glad to see you're showing some restraint.

I have nothing against RU. After all, many are Hokie fans. Y'all remember that.

it's true, i've even seen maroon and orange radford shirts. that being said it's seems like about half of radford people like tech and the other half hate tech with some kind of passion.

Sadness. Well I attended RU for undergrad and while there is quite a lot of partying, there are those of us that actually did give a crap about getting an education.

That said...that is a giant FAIL

I remember when a VT Sorority (I think maybe KD, Alpha Phi) misspelled Virginia on a shirt design back when I was in school.....same spelling. We had some fun with that one.

It's funny that none of the fall grads noticed it.

To be fair, the Engineering Department did the same thing to their Engineering Exploration textbook a few semesters back.

They gave us stickers if we wanted to correct it.

My old business cards had it spelled "Virgina" as well. I don't think it's as uncommon as people think. Also, I can totally see how it could be missed, partially due to the script used and partially because we don't read each individual letter, we look at the word as a whole and the brain interprets the word:

But when somebody is in charge of proofing the stupid thing then they should get it right!

True - I was talking about all the grads that missed it in the Fall.

I have a shirt from The Gap that has the word "Chicago" spelled incorrectly on it as well.

I have to be the first to post here that we have misspelled "Virginia" on the banner of the Hokie Tickets site. Don't know if the screen cap worked. They don't teach those skillz in Food Science.

Let's just hope we don't end up with Virgina Tech jerseys anytime. This has already happened to my beloved Natinals:
