Am I the only person that gets physically sick while watching him play?
I hope Greenberg has ulcers thinking about it. Jesus Christ, that has to be the biggest miss in recruiting in D1 ball, ever.

I don't get sick. My body just goes into full catatonic shock from how ridiculously good his skills are.
If the entire ACC hadn't passed on him he probably wouldn't be this good today.
I don't think he'd change a thing. Reasonable people can't really think that Greenberg's judgment is at fault here. Yes, perhaps as a legacy he should have hooked him up with an offer. But then again Steph Curry might never have happened. Embrace the adversity.

The real sad part is how good we were when he would have been here. And also how BAD those teams needed a three point shooter. It would have been something, but it wasnt just Greenberg that missed on him. I dont know how his talent wasnt showing up in high school. It just doesnt happen in basketball that the best player in the pro's doesnt get the attention in high school. And if it his Dad wasnt Dell Curry, he probably would have gotten less attention.
He grew like 4 inches the summer after high school. That's the difference between P5 offers and mid majors
so did his dad....it shouldn't have been such a shock

Not me. I'm very proud to watch him. He's a great kid, comes from a Hokie family, and has worked very hard to get where he is.
Plus, he grew up a Hokie and wanted to be one. In my eyes, he will always be a Hokie.
Btw-don't blame Greenberg. Stokes is responsible for putting us in he scholarship bind that kept us from offering him. Seth took a bullet for us.
I was pretty bent about that for a long time. Now, when I watch him, I have tricked myself into thinking of him as a Hokie anyway.
I am not sure why there is so much angst about this. Sure, he is a phenomenal pro and would have been an upgrade over our shooting guard, but most of the country missed on him. The other piece of this is that even when he was in college, other than a couple strong showings in the tournament, he was essentially an afterthought of most programs. Why?
Look at the opponents he was having to go up against while playing in the Southern Conference. Appalachian State, North Carolina Greensboro, Western Carolina, Chattanooga, Elon, College of Charleston, The Citadel, Furman, Georgia Southern, and Wofford. Soak those names in for a second. Real high profile programs. Programs that every D1 school usually pays big bucks to come in during the OOC schedule to lose by 20 or so points.
Its now apparent that the talent was there and his body just had to catch up to it as he is a phenomenal pro, but he spent three years in college getting there. If he had been a surefire superstar coming out of high school, all the top teams in the country would have been on him and he would have spent one year in school before jumping to the pros. Enjoy watching him play the game now and realize that maybe if something had been done differently he might not be who he is today.
Its time to move on, seriously.
Personally, I just love to watch him play. It would have been nice to see him in orange and maroon, but he's from a Hokie family, from Charlotte (my hometown) and he's one of the most exciting players in the world to see. I don't lament what could of been, and just enjoy him for what he is.
Plus, in every single other alternate dimension, he played for us. It's a fact.
Tech bball fans should really let this topic go. Its not healthy. Im not a VT grad so I support another team in bball but I recently found out the Grant Hill wanted to go to that school but the HC at the time didn't seal the deal and the rest is history. If he had gone to.................oh well.............let it go let it go................
It's honestly that big of a deal to you? Larry Bird went to IU for a year before dropping out and eventually ending up at Indiana State. I wonder if the Internet existed back then if Indiana fans would be even more obnoxious about that miss/screwup/whatever you'd want to call it than VT has been about Steph Curry.
