Size doesn't mean as much as people think. One of the hardest hits I took playing ball in high school was from a kid about 5'5" and maybe 140 lbs. soaking wet. I was 6'3" about 260 lbs. at the time.

In the aftermath of that hit, every replay looked like London then hit Stroman around the head. How was he not penalized/ejected for touching another teams player?

I haven't seen an actual replay outside of the GIF. You definitely can't tell on it. I remember everyone at the game saying he hit Stroman. Bottom line, I need to dig up a real replay.
When watching the game that was my first thought and the people I was watching with (UVA fans) thought that the scrum was because ML hit Stroman.
Hate to be that guy, but I gotta do it, simply because it's like nails on a chalkboard every time an ESPN announcer uses the term "rugby scrum".

I could watch that Stroman hit all day.
This is my first glimpse of the Stroman hit. Johns is heading out of bounds, but slows up and hesitates like he's trying to bait the hit. He was still in bounds when Stroman lit into him.
Another angle: the HL never sees the end of the hit (think he may have called it if he had seen the result).
There was nothing wrong with that hit at all. He was still in the field of play, and Stroman led with his shoulder and hit him under the shoulder pads. A good clean hit. But the best part of that was London jumping up and down like an idiot begging for a call.
It's made worse by the fact that Johns leaves his feet and jumps in some weird attempt to maybe avoid the hit or something. Doing that gives Stroman all the leverage he needs to push him up, out, and over.
I think London may have a shot at Triple Jump in the Olympics...
Why? So he can lose to DW4 again?
I'm almost 100% sure Stroman was going to knock the Wahoo out of Johns regardless of him pausing or continuing out of bounds...and I wouldn't blame him.

Sidenote, that line push may just be a favorite Hokie Play ever. Johns been watching too much NBA, looked like a flop to me.
Does anybody have the full clip of the hit delivered by stroman? I heard a rumor during the game from someone watching at home that london hit stroman's helmet after the play and wanted to verify it for myself.
That was my impression as well. If he did, that should have been a penalty or ejection of London from the game.
I really need to see that play again.
He was jumping up and down, waving his arms at the ref demanding a flag for a late hit. It looked to me like any contact was incidental and rather minimal. I think when his arm came down from one of its flailings, it might have clipped Stroman's shoulder pad. Certainly should never have happened, but I think some people have blown it a bit out of proportion.
Yeah, kinda like Dadi unintentionally hitting the ref. Both are still mistakes and wrong. He kinda gave Stroman a little push, but Motu was there to pull Stroman out of the mess.
