Travon McMillian Dropped the Dab Against Tulsa

Hokies' running back had a sensational run.

Travon McMillian ripped off a 51-yard touchdown run against The Golden Hurricane early in the first quarter of the Independence Bowl. He celebrated with a little dab in the end zone.

Perhaps McMillian picked up the dance move from Frank Beamer.

The Hokies led Tulsa 24-21 at the end of the opening quarter. Tech's 24-point frame is an Independence Bowl record for points in a quarter. The Hokies bested Army's 22 in 1996.

Wow. Near-Real-Time reporting.

What a game.

I also like that Shane played JC. That's some serious class.

#Dab

And JC fumbles...

...still, I think it speaks volumes about the Beamer family, there may be only a small handful of teams where JC would have seen the field in the last game of his Senior year.

Travon got hurt JC was seeing the field at some point no matter who the coach was.

Wet stuff on the red stuff.

You know I hadnt heard that until this morning, so you may be right about that,

Id just like to stay in my Rudy fantasy and instead of the players coming into the coaches office, the coaches laid down all the seniors jerseys in the running backs room one by one

1,000 yard rushers can do that

The Dude Abides

We are going to need more of that since it appears the D forgot to get off the plane....

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

Didn't you hear? We're going to play in the Big 12 next year, and we were just adjusting to their style!

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

Ok, I'm just going to ask this... Where did the Dab originate? (Be gentle)

-Semper Primus

It's kind of weird how it originated, this is how I heard it originated but I'm not entirely sure it's true... so there's a thing called doing dabs which is smoking oil weed or something like that and whenever you smoke it, it's your reaction to turn and cough which is now what people do as a dance

Frank Beamer introduced it during his farewell season tour. Well, that's as much of the origin as I know.

It's a tribute to Clemson's head coach

I teach high school seniors and recently asked the same thing, this is what I got: it is a dance that originated from an Atlanta based rap group called Migos. They are a very popular rap group for those under 25, when I lift after school or practice it is all that they play on their speakers.

Cam Newton made it popular. Frank Beamer perfected it.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

50 plus points for the win....not sure how i feel about the defense but it really doesn't matter at this point. Ready to thank beamer again for all hes done and absolutely amped for the fuente future. Heres to 24 more!!

Since Reavis got the boot, have we figured how who is the best dancer in the team? Did Bucky get the title for the OSU TD dance? We need an answer by the end of the spring game!

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

Anyone notice the bald guy in the background talking sh!t. Evidently he took exception to the dab

Yes and equally noticed the hot chicks right behind him applauding and appeared to be VERY impressed with the score AND the dap. So in conclusion, #Win4Travon

I'm pretty sure her applause is for me as I sit here on the toilet and score my own touchdown.

She was applauding for both. Don't tell your wife.

I think he was saying "way to go thirty four!" , but he has a hard time CONTROLLING THE VOLUME OF HIS VOICE!

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.
