When was the last time that the Hokies were 17 point underdogs in a football game? They opened at 21 for the BeatBama game and it has dropped to 17. Will it drop even more as the game gets closer? Not that the players need any more motivation than knowing they are getting ready to beat the defending "two time" defending national champion, but I hope this is plastered in the locker room.

The one that comes to mind is USC in 2004, but I don't know what the official line was in that game though. I just know it was pretty big.
VT vs USC 2004:Line was 17, score was 13 to 24
VT vs Miami 2002: Line was 17, score was 45 to 56.
Good thing those two games won't be a predictor for this game! Since we will beat Bama.
