Was the alphabetical order mistake made in the tweet too? But .. nice.
I know we probably won't here from Walker until later but I really hope we get some additional commits off of this weekend. I thought there would be at least 2 people as many seniors want to commit before their final high school season starts.
anybody hear of any news from Sunday's Senior Day?

Man oh man. Our staff needs to really work to close Nnadi and Walker. The front seven is the key to winning a national championship. The Hokies have an opportunity to have a defensive line with 2 deep upper echelon talent, and defensive tackle has rarely been a position of strength for VT.
It is even more critical when you consider that the skill position talent/recruiting has not landed the "superstar" level players that helped keep the team above water during the last two yearsTyrod run and Logan's first season. I am hopeful that Edmunds is the building block tailback that can create a security blanket for the next QB in 2014, but Knowles, Stanford, and Caleb hardly seem like Royal, Morgan, Harper, Clowney or Coale, Boykin, Roberts, Davis, and Coles.

In fairness to those receivers, I'd like to think we had better QB play 2010-2012 (maybe not so fast on that last year) vs. 2006-2008. I'm not sure if I'd trade for those receivers if it meant getting Glennon back under center.

Out of those five schools, four of them send the most handwritten letters. And of those four, two really impressed by having multiple coaches share just how much they want him at their respective schools. And those two just happen to be his favorites.
"My top two, I'd say, is Penn State and Virginia Tech," he said Monday night.
Penn State defensive coordinator John Butler, defensive line coach Larry Johnson and recruiting coach Charles London have written to Walker -- the letters remain stored in a shoebox -- and have sat him down separately to tell him just how much he means to the Nittany Lions. Virginia Tech has done the same.
No other team has done that, Walker said. So those unique moves have stuck with him.
"When coaches come to the school, face to face, and tell you how you fit in and tell you they really want you and everything, that's had the biggest impact," Walker said. "Penn State and Virginia Tech are the only ones that have had different coaches say that, and that's important to me.
"A lot of coaches will tell you bullcrap. But when you hear it from more than one coach on the same team, it means a lot."

I think you ignore the "U" for "University".
...everyone else on that team has!
VIOLATION. We only call in the Dawson when we need an expert on the Oopty Oop offense. #MississippiValleyState
Anyone else think his head looks like a big toe?
Yep I am a dick.
I was more interested in the actual tweet though.
Thanks man. Not on the tweety. Too much trouble to stay connected to it where I live.
Tennessee was thought to be biggest threat. They're not in his top 5 so I think that'll wrap it up. Chalk one more up to the good guys.
Tennessee never offered. If they do, I could still see them being a problem. Lets just hope that doesn't happen
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he meant to type North Carolina instead of UNC to keep it in alphabetical order

Maybe we wont 'need' the superstar talent that kept us a float if we have a functioning offensive scheme and line play.

From an ESPN report earlier today,
For all those that said we weren't on the recruiting, I think this shows our technique a bit more. I like this kid, and hope he comes to VT.
If I remember correctly, having the coaches write recruits hand written letters everyday was one of the ideas Shane brought in.
Seems new predictions have him leaning towards VT.
