The current contract expires in June 2014, but our timing is based on the need to provide EA notice for future planning. As a result, the NCAA Football 2014 video game will be the last to include the NCAAs name and logo

Looks like they are worried about that O'Bannon case
My thoughts exactly, sucks for all the NCAA game fans, seems to be the wisest solution at this time.
looks like ill be getting NCAA 14 after all!
It looks like the game CAN continue, but it will no longer have the NCAA name/logo.
hopefully if a college football game continues they wont name it after a broadcaster/former coach ala Madden. I dont think i would buy a game called 'Corso 15' or 'Musburger 15'
I would definitely buy a game called Musburger 15. Listening to him creepily talk about some hot co-ed is awesome.
No college football announcer is a big enough draw for that. On top of that neither Corso or Musburger are even in the game.
If a 2015 game is released, my vote is "ESPN College Game Day 2015" or something similar.
I dont know man...Herby is pretty dreamy

Wow, college football really is going in a simplified direction these days.... The College Football Playoff, "College Football 15"...
Beamerball 2015
Bob Davie 15?
I'd buy a copy just to have the pleasure of destroying it in some wonderfully dangerous fashion. I can't stand Davie.
This is my recommendation:

A turkey leg for your gif sentiment and your Burnop quote!
I don't think I ever heard the quote before. Anyone have any audio?

Check out #15.
Thanks! I must have missed that one on my last trip through that list...
From what I'm reading, the Collegiate Licensing Company handles the licensing for all the conferences, bowls, and teams in the game. They are seperate from the NCAA so, as long as EA & the schools want to keep making a college football game, this may just end up being a cosmetic change.
Yeah, that's the way I read it too. If they can manage to sign a deal with the CLC covering all the schools, conferences and bowl games, the only changes that need to be made are the name (College Football 2015, anyone?) and the fact that the Independent "conference" will no longer have an NCAA pennant as its logo. And any other minor textual references to the NCAA will be removed too, obviously.
For once, it looks as though it might be good that FBS football has a "national championship" system separate from the NCAA, because if the NCAA ran an FBS playoff I'd imagine that EA Sports might not be allowed to use use the same format for their postseason in-game.
Here is a pretty good explanation.

The new physics engine in NCAA '14 has it's ups....and downs... this happened to me yesterday lol

Haha lol I've had similar problems, I'm having trouble uploading my image but Logan was picked off from a ball that bounced off the ground
Did you disable gravity in the settings?
I would absolutely flip my lid laughing if this happened to me. They should make a game where the physics is greatly exaggerated. Comedy football, good lord I'd love it.
Exaggerated Physics=NFL Blitz for N64
Words cannot explain how great the NFL Blitz games were. F-ing EA had to get exclusive rights to the NFL.
Though Basketball, I immediately thought of this:

Too bad Keith Jackson is gone, he would have been the perfect face for the future version. WHOA NELLIE!
I miss some of the old guard announcers.....Keith Jackson was the best!...Also miss some of the ones that didn't necessarily call college games...Curt Goudy, Tom Brookshire, Pat Summerall...some great voices of my youth!
I think this is further evidence that the NCAA has little control over the conferences and their schools. Sure, don't renew your contract with EA, why should EA even care? There will still be a collegiate football game next year. The game will have every conference. The game will have every school. The game will have every bowl game and whatever the playoffs are called. The game will have ESPN. The game won't have the NCAA logo.
Reminds me of something I heard a while back, that some of the BCS schools were rumored to be considering breaking football off from the NCAA and creating their own football league or something.
I remember that too, I believe I remember seeing Andy Staples from SI.com write about it. Something about the 5 BCS conferences and Notre Dame. 64 teams in it, called CASH or LOOT.
