I used to follow International Moose Counting back before it got political and corrupt. It used to be about the love of counting moose, but when the big money sponsors rolled in ethics flew right out the window. Nowadays, anything that gets counted east of the Himalayas is really just a camel or a yak with "antlers" taped to its head.

From what I've heard about the kid, his development was underwhelming his senior year and that has a lot to do with the offer being pulled. With that said, its still ridiculous for them to pull this stunt 2 weeks before NSD.

Absolutely I would be all over this unless there is an issue with this kid and his schollie being pulled. I thought we had already been on his offer list?

My question is...where are the kid's parents in all of this? It is really weird and I'd think "um, thank you for visiting and we appreciate you showing an interest in our son going to UM, but you aren't staying the night. That's just weird"

So let me get this straight...Michigan pulled their offer and everyone here automatically thinks VT should jump on that train? Is that simply because he was/is rated a 4* recruit and ratings are gospel or is there something people actually know about this kid?
Because it seems to me that true 4* OT's don't exactly grow on trees - for any school. So if Michigan is letting him go (ethics aside), then perhaps the UM coaches don't give a rat's behind about star rankings and they believe he's not really a 4* OT (maybe not even close to it) - or maybe there's more to this story.
I'm not saying he should just be written off without any thought, but if the staff doesn't make much of, if any, run at the kid, I'm not to going to second guess them or lose any sleep over it.

Yeah, ok...what does that tell me? When were those offers? And were they "commitable"? It'll be interesting to see if he ends up at one of those places. If he's really a 4* talent at OT, a lot of good schools will find room for him.

Oline has continually been a rough spot for us. Giving a 4* guy a chance with us is a way better crapshoot then us turning another dlineman or the like into gold. Why not take a shot on him when we have recently struggled to bring in solid talent constantly on the oline?

You beat me to it. No doubt we should get in contact with him he already held an offer from us. 4* o lineman with a chip on his shoulder - yes please
Sleepovers gone wrong
+1 for the laugh and almost making snort my drink out through my nose. Good one.
Harbaugh clearly dissatisfied with the quality of this kid's mom's pizza rolls.
Harbaugh = Class
I think you meant Harbaugh =/= Class
They needed to clear a spot for Drew Harris...he finally got past the NCAA Clearinghouse...
This might be my favorite post ever...lol. Well done sir!
Harris is gonna make it here all right. Just in time to enroll with his son and be the first father-son teammates in school history.
Tight End, huh?
Nice touch, but that could only happen at VT.
Did anyone see Interstellar?
Maybe he has been traveling the galaxy....Drew Harris might come back to play for the Hokies and be 45 years old.
^^ nominating for post of the year...(i do realize that we have 11+ months to go, but the bar has been set IMHO.....
Thanks for the compliment on the post....the bar has been set. I usually prefer to limbo under the bar than to pole vault over it...
Glad you liked it.

The numbers show that most Himalayan Moose get converted to Tight end....
I think this news should have garnered more details than being only 1/4 of the length of the article about moose counts.
Do I detect a little Horse/Moose rivalry going on here??
no shutup
Hopefully we push hard and can grab him this late. Same with the LB that decommitted.
vince vice should contact this kid ASAP. Michigan's loss could be VT's benefit.

Maybe there were no trees in his yard also????
Or not enough room on the kid's floor for that piece of carpet.
maybe Beamer can do a session at Harbaugh's coaches clinic on how not to be a douchebag
Must have beaten Harbaugh in Madden by blowout rule.
Kind of unrelated, but are we out for Landon Dickerson?
Yes that Ship has sailed. The only 4* targets left on the board are Character, Pridgeon, Simms, Wells, Yulee

He must not climb trees very well
TKP board is certainly giving a lot of attention to the University of Michigan lately....
Well their coach is climbing trees, and sleeping on kids floors. I believe that is what we refer to as a "pink elephant."

That's the crazy thing! This kid did grow on trees and that's what Harbaugh was looking for!
We only have 3 offensive linemen in this class+ 1 JUCO. Our offensive line is still a huge problem, we need bodies

I don't care what the kid's star rating is, if he can play well enough to either start or provide quality depth, I want him, especially for the OL
