Luther Maddy to play in Shrine Game

Maddy, who just wrapped up his five-year career at Virginia Tech, will play for the West squad coached by June Jones.

The game starts at 4 p.m. at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. It'll be televised by the NFL Network.

From a lot of tweets and reports Luther has played really well and impressed some people. Wish we could have seen Coleman and Hughes in their senior bowls. But at least this one is televised.

UPDATE: So according to Luther Maddy he DID NOT play in the game today. Not sure why?

Doesn't make sense considering a few years ago this tech grad was on the East.

yeah, I was wondering why I didn't see him out there or hear his name called. His name was scrolled down on the bottom as being on the team so was perplexed.

I watched the game looking for him. Very disappointed he didn't play. They again they were playing against a Charlie Weis offense. Did the East go more than three and out after the first quarter?
