...ahh, the all too familiar feeling of reject.
If only Beamer had done a home visit...
That snow'll get after ya. Bet he's hopin' it's the coed's down yonder.
The icing on the cake was probably a quick side by side pic of Blacksburg under snow and Mark Richt on the beach with a beverage in hand... Miami always has so much talent... they just don't know how to bring it together

I think the same could be said about Richt's teams at UGa.
Well, that and having a stud RB who's a Heisman contender until his knee blows out. At least that's what I think of when I think of UGA.
Obviously you can't win every recruiting battle, but I hope that our message is getting to these recruits. I hope these kids are receiving a vibe that this program is up and coming and that we will soon be a strong National contender again. I know most VT fans and most of the TKP community has this feeling of a "Movement," especially since the Fuente hiring. I just hope that this message is being received as so on the recruiting trail.
I didn't even know he was considering Miami.
He didn't either.
At least we didn't lose to WVU
At least VT has Bucky " The Best TE in the ACC" Hodges for another year.
Depending on how Hodges plays in the new offense. I think we could get an even better TE next recruiting class.
Did the new staff really go after him? I never heard much about him after Beamer retired. I realize he made his official visit under the old staff didn't get the sense that he was a high priority recruit for us. But I was really hoping that we'd land him.
Yea I think he got a couple of in home visits, initially there were some articles that he was thrilled with Fuente's new style of offense
Miami is going to be sharp along with FSU and Clemson. I hope VT is also on that level after this year. We have solid talent and good coaches so I feel like those teams will not be able to walk over us.
Whenever I see a recruit go to a school we will play in the near future:
If he dies, he dies.
Thank God Rocky ended the Cold War after that fight. Things would be a lot different.
Tech is going to have to start winning battles on the field more consistently before they win them on the recruiting trail.
Yeah, sheesh. This new coach hasn't even won a game! I think we made a mistake here. /s
I don't know, we are undefeated against ECU with him as HC, and isn't that really what we all want? Seems like a solid hire.
Yes. Have to win those divisional games within the conference.
Yeah but Miami hasn't won jack shit either though.
But they do have the beach I guess. And latino / other hotties.
But ain't no body have northface jackets / yoga pants / Ugg boots girls like us though!
I miss college
They also have a stadium you have to commute to with a reputation for being ghostly empty. If a kid goes there for coeds, he's just getting a bunch of New Jersey and Long Island transplants.

And was accepted to U of M with a tour. On scholarship.
At a VT-Miami home game, I accused some loudmouthed mid-30s Miami fans of being bandwagon fans and the one guy told me he was a Miami fan because his grandparents lived in Miami! That really shut me up, because its not like old people move to Florida often.
So you're saying we have the most basic basic bitches around?
Mind you, I'm totally fine with that!
actually, you just described the female population at the University of Minnesota. That "U" would be untouchable in recruiting if your eyes didn't freeze over when you looked for more than a second.
