The Hokies took to the mats tonight and woodshedded the mountaineers . Except for a backup loss at 197, the hokies blanked the mountaineers, winning by a final score of 32- 3. Seniors Brandon Taylor Dan Garwood Nick Brascetta and Austin Gabel took their last bow in front of the home crowd. The best news is the hokies seem to have their mojo back, punishing the mountaineers in the 2nd and 3rd periods.
Next up is UVA on Sunday. On paper we have the advantage and i hope we see the same intensity on the road. If youre within driving distance of Charlottesville, make the trip, its worth it. The crowd will be pro-hokie, even though its on the road.
Go Hokies!

Any day we beat WVU is a good day. To crush them makes it a great day.
One of the highlights of the night was the cadet vs cadet wrestling matches during the intermission, officiated by Hokie great Devin Carter.
Sal Mastriani had a great outing tonight. He has had a rough season so far but absolutely outclasses his opponent with a technical fall awarded at the end of the second. It should boost his confidence tremendously going in to the rest of ACC play. The Hokies will need him if they want to repeat as regular season ACC champs.
I don't know a whole lot about wrestling, but it looks like the Hokies put a bunch of Cousins on their hips tonight. That was a whupping, in the scientific nomenclature.
Thanks for sharing, I really enjoy hearing how the wrestling squad is performing. What Coach Dressler is doing there is amazing and fun to watch. It's a great day when we "pin the 'eers back."
They were absolutely dominate tonight. The spider monkey, also known as Joey Dance was once again 'bananas'. I can't wait to watch him, along with Walz, at the NCAAs.
I don't understand wrestling at all but these highlights got me like

Glad to see Dance pick up the W over Moisey, i remember his fantastic tourney run last year and his scramble ability is always dangerous.
Still a little disappointed that Haught is still out, really hoping he makes it back soon so he's not rusty for the tourneys.
Really excited about Sunday though, as I hope they take care of business to set the tone for the rest of the season.
