Virginia Tech redshirt-senior Dadi Nicolas has accepted his invitation to participate in the 2016 Reese's Senior Bowl as announced by the organization this afternoon.

The Reese's Senior Bowl will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. EST in Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. The game will be televised on the NFL Network

Another chance to see a Hokie play some football this weekend.

I love that picture.

Is that the same stadium as our bowl game?

No, the Senior Bowl is in Mobile, Alabama. Independence Bowl is in Shreveport, Louisiana.

isn't that the same thing?

(I can say that, I'm married to an Alabama girl... and she has all her teeth)

Logan Thomas played in 2014. I feel like there have been more since 2014 too.

Edit: Fuller and Gayle were invited in 2014 too - don't remember if they actually played due to injuries.

Nice, looking forward to many more years of saying "Who's your Dadi?!"

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

He should tear it up at the combine.

What is the 6030 number? Height?

Yes, I believe they measure in 1/8 inches. IE Dadi is 6'3". Someone who is 5'11.5" would be 5114

At 3:30 ESPNU will have practice coverage of the bowl game. He is #96.

So far it is the South team stretching. He was shown getting a high five from the coach.

I'm not well versed in he drills they are running through but Dadi doesn't look like the others when doing these drills. His feet placement over bags and motion just looks different.

He had his name said several times for hustle plays.

God I hope he doesn't fall in Darrell Tapp hole. Too small for DE, not fast enough at LB. yea I know DT has made a great transition but I hope for more with Dadi. He's just a joy to watch

Watching him this week it seemed like he is still hurting. He may be fast and strong enough with another 15 lbs to play DE. Even if he isn't, they will still want him heavier at OLB. Being 6 3 he has probably has the frame. So I would hope it isn't a risk. Either way I think a 3-4 team is gonna take a flier on him earlier than a 4-3 team.

Key is getting drafted by a team that can put him in as a LB and let him learn how to play zone pass defense. I don't know which teams are which but 3-4s, some teams have every down LBs who are zone responsibility. Other teams seem to put much more pressure on all their LBs. Hope he gives Jason Worilds a call... he probably had to figure all this out and found an organization that gave him the time to develop physically and mentally for the 3-4. I do think other teams would play him sooner than Pittsburgh.

I hope he runs a 4.5...think he gets picked in top 3 rounds... or at least looks unreal in a 20 split or something. Putting 15lbs on your frame is gonna be a risk... running a 4.7 ... still probably drafted but probably much later.

JW got picked in the second round. Combine and interviews will probably determine where Dadi ends up. Someone said he didn't interview well at senior bowl. Hope his agent can guide him to what teams run a favorable 3-4, hook him up with JW, how to interview and show he understands what is involved in a 3-4, and how important the stupid combine is to his future (i.e. run a 4.5 or better).

Yeah he was mentioned on a few qb hits, but he did totally whiff on that sack that Oakman cleaned up. He went way too high on the qb. I think he is really going to have to make a shift to a 3-4 to have a chance to stick in the NFL and he still probably needs to put on 20 lbs or so. Really hoping he has a good combine though as i am sure that could help him out.
