Evan Watkins of 247Sports reported 2016 linebacker Tavante Beckett will sign with the Hokies. Beckett recently took an official visit to Maryland on January 17.
When asked if he was 100-percent solid to Virginia Tech, Beckett confirmed he will be a Hokie on signing day.
"Yeah, I just had to get my mom back on board," he said.
