BLACKSBURG -- On Wednesday, Feb. 3, Virginia Tech will provide wall-to-wall coverage of National Signing Day. HokieVision, HokieSports.com and @VT_Football will be bringing Hokies' fans the most comprehensive coverage available.
Our multi-media team will be stationed in the Merryman Center beginning at 7 a.m. ET, ready to announce when the first letter comes across the fax machine. Prospects are not officially Hokies until their NLIs are verified by the Tech compliance office, and as soon as they are, we will post on the official @VT_Football Twitter feed.
Throughout the day, HokieSports.com will provide the most complete information on the newest Hokies, including bios, stats and highlights, as well as comments and scouting reports directly from Tech's coaches.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., HokieVision will present live coverage from the Merryman Center on HokieSports.com. Head coach Justin Fuente and selected Tech assistants will break down the latest signees. "Voice of the Hokies" Jon Laaser leads Tech's National Signing Day team and will be joined by former Virginia Tech tight end and longtime color analyst Mike Burnop. Tech football sideline reporter Andrew Allegretta will also catch up with mid-year enrollees already on campus in Blacksburg as well as other special guests.
Coverage continues at 1:15 p.m. with the Virginia Tech football signing day press conference. Coach Fuente will address the media to provide perspective on the 2016 recruiting class. Associate head coach Bud Foster and offensive coordinator Brad Cornelsen are also anticipated to participate in the press conference, which will be live streamed on HokieSports.com.

But, will VT have a fax girl?
Lax girl*
Where would you even go to fax in your letter? I haven't seen a fax machine in 10 years!
Nearly every copier I have ever used still has fax functions. Email has just nearly taken over from a practical standpoint.
Or e-mail to fax is another option that gets advertised a lot.
The NLI could just be emailed in but many kids like having that physically signed copy as a keepsake.
Nearly all high school guidance offices have fax machines.
Source: Every time I need a high school transcript emailed to me, I am always asked if it is okay to fax it instead.
Live feed on Hokie sports - guaranteed not to have any glitches in that feed right?
I hope the coverage will be still be continuing at 3 or 4! I don't want to miss it, but I have my internship all morning and afternoon.
I feel like HokieSports usually posts a replay!
This was awesome last year. Glad they are doping it again.
Those mechanically advantaged fax machines'll get after ya'.
That would be a hilarious broadcast....just a zoomed in image of a 1980-something thermo paper fax machine...
I just saw a news story where a Belgian rider got discovered with an auxiliary motor in her bike. Thought it was fitting, but yeah that would pretty much be the whole show
Anyone have a list of what we think our "Most Wanted" list is as of right now?
See now I'm just gonna get pissed every time they flash to another recruit picking up a non-VT hat
I'll be at work so I can't watch, but I've got my Tweet notifications for @VT_football and Guerry turned on. Hoping for some good news throughout the day!
see I'm thinking about doing the exact opposite: hide from the internet all day and then check in here Thursday morning to read the wrap up. I can't afford to lose an entire day of work hitting refresh...
