BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech Athletics Department announced Monday the prices and important dates for football season tickets for the 2016 season.
The renewal process for 2015 season ticket holders and Hokie Club members (as of Dec. 31, 2015) begins on Feb. 4. Individuals who renew early during an exclusive two-week window from Feb. 4-18 will receive a $25 per ticket loyalty rebate on their $350 season ticket purchase. This rebate will be issued at the conclusion of the two-week window.
Beginning Feb. 19, all 2015 season ticket holders and Hokie Club members have until March 14 to renew their tickets at the $350 price.

Who else is in? The 25 rebate is a nice touch and it's for both Hokie Club members AND season ticket renewals. Where are you going to sit? What is best place to pick seats?

You cannot choose seats until the selection process begins in April. You will then get to select in order of priority.

When will we find out about our Battle at Bristol tickets if we pre-ordered through Hokie Club?

@vtscottyb

My co-worker who has Tennessee season tickets got a email yesterday about his Bristol tickets. Email included his seat location. I'm not sure if the email was from UT or the race track. I didn't ask that.

Hopefully VT does that same soon.

I'll be renewing my usual seats in Touchdown Terrace, far away from you filthy, unwashed masses on the east and west sides. /s

That's if we let you drive across the Mason Dixon line.

Put my 2016 Football deposit down on Sunday. I'm pretty sure I'll keep my 2x2 aisle seats in section 15. With the rolling reseating every year it is more challenging to make big jumps in location without a big jump in Hokie Club rank.

I told him I’d crawl on my hands and knees to be the DL coach at Virginia Tech. Now, all of a sudden, I’m sitting in this chair and I told him I’d still crawl on my hands and knees to work here. I just want to be here.

Can I just say that I am a big fan of the middle of the section seats? Nothing makes me madder than letting people out during a play and then missing it.

When I was little we walked 5 miles uphill to Lane and my father never let us leave our seats unless the stadium was being evacuated.

With a two three year old and another on the way, easy aisle access is critical for trips to the potty. If I take the aisle, you don't need to move when they need to go in the middle of that long touchdown drive. Plus, I can usually get a little more leg room by sticking a knee/foot out onto the steps. I'm not a huge fan of letting people in and out during play. Not all of the fanbase is as considerate as you are about staying put until the clock strikes 0:00.

You sir deserve a medal! Most people are not as considerate as you. My comment wasn't directed at you, just that I have shifted from an Aisle fan, to a middle of the section advocate.

One of the reasons for the switch just happened last week. A dad beside me and my wife at the VT/Louisville basketball game let his son go get food/drinks 7x in the second half. We only started counting because it was so bad in the first half and we stopped sitting down during trips. I felt worse for the elderly lady beside us.

Hokie Club members how accurate is this chart based on membership level?

For me, not very accurate. I am around 9800 and had 4 tickets in section 4 and 6 row HHH, which according to this would be anywhere from 3500 - 5500.

There were also at least 10-12 around me when I selected too.

It is accurate for me. I'm around 3900 and am in the dark green. I am a 2x2 aisle guy so I may have had some opportunity to move up to the 3500 orange level but passed on 4 together for my longtime seats 2x2 on the aisle and right below the breezeway. It is perfect for the young kids.

I'm in the mid 9000s and had seats in the 6500-7000 range above the section 35 gate.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

I guess it is mostly accurate. My seats are in the 2500-3500 (Section 18, Row SS) which is where I am ranked, but I also know a lot of higher level who sit with me as the middle sections have a per seat premium tacked onto the cost of the ticket. Which I think is a bit bullshit as most of those people are already forking over massive annual gifts, making them pay per ticket additional is a bit much.

I think it's ridiculous that your seat premium doesn't count towards your Hokie Club level.

But that premium is mostly tax deductible as it is part of a donation to the University. While yes, it does not count towards your Hokie Club level, you still get something out of it.

I just realized today that we're currently on the only multi-year-bowl-winning-streak in school history. We've got that going for us!

Didn't feel like that deserved it's own thread, so it's here. :)

You're only right because of a technicality :)

We've won consecutive bowl games before, but they happened in the same year - 2009 Orange Bowl over Cinci and 2009 Chick-Fil-A Bowl over Tennessee. So, multiple football seasons, but same calendar year.

"Exit light..."

You could have at least let someone take the bait before explaining my technicality! :)

Ok guys need some help here. Wife is not sure about getting season tickets. We have some MAJOR things coming this year and she wants me around during the season. She also doesn't see how she can make it up for any games. So how do I convince her that we should buy tickets? Is buying a single season ticket an option? Anyone done that before?

There is a discount right now if you buy in the next week or so of $25 per seat! That is a sale, women go for sales don't they?

The cost isn't the real issue.

Better to have them and not need them, than to need them and not have them. You can always resell, and would likely not lose too much, especially if VT does well next year and more people want to come to the games

I wouldn't count on this. Prices for the games last year were nowhere near making back $350 over the course of the season unless you sold your OSU ticket. Without that big game ticket this year, it'll take a helluva season to make your later tickets worth selling.
