The Virginia Tech and the University of Maryland Athletics Departments announced Wednesday that the Hokies and Terrapins have agreed to a four-game football series starting in 2026. That game will renew a series whose origins date back to 1919.
Each school will serve as the host to two games, with Lane Stadium serving as the site for contests in 2027 and 2029, while Maryland will be the home team for games in 2026 and 2028. The initial game of this is slated for College Park, Maryland, on Sept. 19, 2026

And to think, our QB that will start that game is probably just sitting in 3rd grade right now learning how to write cursive.
kids don't get taught cursive anymore!! they are too busy learning how to add by subtracting and how to snapchat! (I am a elementary teacher, I know)
This is an outrage! Everyone should have to suffer through the monotony of learning cursive writing.
now they just get the monotony of monthly division based testing!! YAY benchmark test
I'm ok with this, adds a P5 team to the scheduled and gets Hokies a game where a ton of alums and fans live within easy driving distance.
Will there be a Fuller in this series???
Meh. Could be worse. I like to think we have a pretty good presence in the DMV area. Would rather see us go south like Florida or Texas.
Lets just hope this ugly shit doesn't rub off.
