Already game time. Tech needs to win this one if it hopes to make the NIT. FSUs biggest threat is big men underneath with three 7 footers on their roster. They also have two phenomenal freshmen guards.

We can't make a basket. And our D is non-existent (just stand still watch them drive to the basket unchallenged). Going to be a long day.
I think it'll be a one score game either way, hopefully we can come out on the right side.
I see Buzz is trying to prevent Blackshear from picking up early fouls.
CHRIS CLARKE
Well, that was fun while it lasted. I really hope that wasn't a serious injury.
He wasn't putting any weight on it. Not a good sign. Ugh.
it is amazing how well other teams can shoot 3s against us
This is just like the Louisville game. You can't win when teams shoot this well from 3.
Just tuned in. Yeesh...
Shit. I hope Clark isn't hurt seriously with that ankle
Clarke was just giving the team some much needed tempo and scoring. Let's hope he is OK. Feel bad for him since he was really just getting back from injury
We're making our dunks today!
I'm not sure what we do to get a shooting foul. We have been relentless attacking the basket and we are just getting shit on by the refs. I'm at the game so I don't have a great view so if I'm wrong someone correct me.
You're not wrong. We've relied on attacking the basket and getting to the line all year, but in past 5 or 6 games the refs just won't give us those fouls.
We are lucky to be down 8. I think I counted 6 missed free throws in a row. Inexcusable.
It'd be cool if a) subpar 3 point shooters didn't choose to have career days behind the 3-point line against us every night and b) we shot better than 33% from the free throw line.
Why does Buzz still have all of his clothes on? Weird seeing him keep the jacket on for an entire half.
I'm going to assume they took Clarke to get x-rays. Didn't come back out with the team.
The good Seth Allen showed up today!
And apparently he only needs one eye!
I want to be mad but the dude who is torching us is named bacon and no one can be mad at bacon
and their logo is screaming because he has hot bacon on his cheek.
There have been some nasty looking injuries in this game.
Defensive stops in 2nd half!
Mocking the Tomahawk chop, love it.
Man I love watching this team. They are a scrappy bunch!
Where are the Seth Allen bashers? Noticeably absent.
I've certainly been guilty of getting very frustrated with him multiple times this year but I couldn't be happier with him right now. What a gutty performance.
We all may bash his questionable shot selection at times, but there is no doubt he plays his heart out day in and out.
Seth Allen:basketball::Michael Brewer:football
Couldn't think of a better comparison.
Exactly. He has his ups and downs but it's never for lack of effort.
This game was long overdue for him. I think Buzz got on him about his past few games.
If he had better teammates, he'd be a better teammate.
Disagree. He is who he is, and does what he does. He will play like he is the man regardless of whether it works or who is around him. Why he is here instead of MD. As a young team we need it, but it sucks when it's not working. Hopefully Robinson can learn the attitude and develop the skills to do it better, because good teams need someone with that attitude. Great teams have a guy with the attitude that can play that way every game.
Agree with your assessment. The best players make their team mates better, especially the best point guards.
Best team finish of the Buzz Williams era. Total domination the last 5 minutes.
Wow. I almost didn't cut the game on, because judging by the comments I thought we were getting our asses kicked. Glad I turned in anyway that was freaking awesome. So glad they started tomahawking...made me feel a little better about 2005 football ACC championship.
What an ending. Seems like every offensive possession, someone with a left hand was nailing a big shot. Incredible game.
A buzzketball win! Time to move up the ACC Ladder!

A great win, all heart and defense at end!
Oh, and Buzz ain't going anywhere folks. He and his family absolutely love Blacksburg and are in process of building a new home, and add in the fact that he is building a program that looks primed to break out in the next 1-2 years. This game was yet another step forward.
I don't normally pay any attention to the resumes of the teams that make the NIT but I feel like we're on our way. The first or second ACC team left out of the NCAAs has to be NIT-bound, right?
Usually the first 2-3 ACC teams left out of the big dance make the NIT. I think we need to go 2-2 to finish out the regular season and then win 1 tourney game. That would put us at 17-15. I think 16-16 would most likely leave us on the NIT bubble.
One more step in the right direction. Glad I was able to keep the game on in the background with all the craziness around here today. Great game by Allen, just wish it was more consistent in showing up although 7-11 shooting is more than can be expected any game. Best of all was the balanced scoring across the team. Five Hokies in double figures is outstanding. Two biggest concerns at this point are Clarke's injury and the complete lack of production from Blackshear once again.
Regarding Clarke's injury, he was back on the bench late in the second half. He was standing and jumping around when we made that huge run at the end. Hopefully it was just a bad ankle sprain.
This was a fun game to watch. After seeing them all year, I was prepared for anything, but felt good when FSU just couldn't get the lead to keep climbing. Then, to watch us chip away, one point at a time, despite our mistakes and missed free throws, well, it was just another fun game for me. Yeah, you can tell when we're so outclassed that it is obvious we won't be in it, but it never felt that way today. We play well at home and Buzz did a great job today as well.
Glad to knock you right off the bubble Noles!
I don't know, we've seen stranger things since joining the ACC.
Love that coach called out the ACC.

How else could we schedule so many home games when the students are on break? Everyone like playing their in-state rival when the campus is empty.
I really like Justin Robinson. The future is bright with a point guard that can combine sick passing with scoring.
That was a good win because we had to battle adversity to get it. Some of it was injuries (Clarke out for the game, Allen and Robinson getting knicked up but battling it out). Some of it was our own fault, like stretches of really dumb defensive decisions (tons of ball watching, 3 and 4 guys collapsing on the ball leaving wide open passing lanes, just general lack of team communication). But the guys really buckled down in the latter half of the 2nd half to seal a victory.
Watching the ND/FSU game and we are still listed as a bad loss for FSU. Lol I can't wrap my head around that.
Probably because our matchup was a "must-win" for FSU's chance at the NCAA Tourney. If they couldn't put it together and win when their postseason hopes were on the line (by conventional wisdom), that's probably a bad loss. Not because we're bad, but because it just looks bad for them.
That's a fair way to put it.
Our RPI is still above 100. That's the threshold for "bad loss" graphics, IIRC.
