About that! #sauses have told me that Bailey was extremely excited on his visit and impressed by the whole situation. Bailey told Fuente he was going to commit the day he left on his visit and wanted to talk to his mom about the decision. The story was the same and verified by Bailey leading up to signing day. Fuente and the staff were told and expecting Baileys fax that day but never heard anything from him on NSD. They were all shocked to hear he went somewhere else.
The theory is mom strongly wanted the brothers to play together.
Now take it as #sauses but there is much more to this story than just a kid trolling Tech.

His recruitment is likely not to start picking up until the spring/summer, seems like he has given every indication that he is going to wait a while before he decides.

Here we go again. When JaQuan Bailey and Rick Wells did this I knew we were getting played, and didn't care. Two three stars who were not from Virginia and in the past probably would not have received offers from Virginia Tech. This is different. Eric and Khalan are the type of players who can return VT back to prominence. Everyone will remember Tryod, Michael Vick, the Adibi brothers, Ryan Williams, David Wilson, Tapp, Royal, Harper, Cody, Rouse, Anderson, DeAngelo, and the other great players from the 757, Richmond VA, Northern Virginia, and the rest of the State. I have seen both of these guys play and they are special, first saw Crosby dunking a volleyball at one of my daughters volleyball games when he was like 13 years old and looked every bit of 220 pounds. Don't tease us, be hometown heros and we will root for you forever. Hunter who??? Hughes who??? Simms who??? The only players I feel comfortable wearing the VT gear and posting right now is Tyjuan Garbutt and Devante. Smith. Why does VT give away so much apparel, people usually covet what is difficult to achieve and obtain.

I am fine with VT giving away apparel, but I agree with you. VT remembers the Va Boys who have played their way into Hokie lore. I am hopeful that more in state guys head to Blacksburg, and I think Fuente will get them to come in droves. All it takes is one big fish to bring some other medium sized fish with him and then it starts to snowball.

Unless something has changed, it would be a recruiting violation to hand out apparel. It can be "borrowed", like when they put on a jersey and come out of the tunnel on a recruiting trip.

Yeah, seems to me that handing out apparel to recruits would be a NCAA violation, especially in light of all the rules in place prohibiting purchasing practically anything for potential recruits. They probably either purchased or just donned for the photo.

You guys can continue to base your expectations on the past if you want to, but it's more fun to believe (and maybe drown disappointment later). Fuente has great vision and has built a culture of success. Top recruits see that and come to school here. They are from VA and are a lock. Let's go get some 5*s from SEC country.

Well Laborn is 5'9, 190 and Crosby is 6'2, 260 so not exactly neck and neck haha. But to your point, Laborn does look really big in this photo.
I mean it's definitely not a bad thing they are wearing VT gear, but it's nothing new or surprising.
Great to see, and the school is definitely NOT allowed to give shirts (or really anything) to the recruits. However, many recruits buy a shirt souvenir from every school they make a recruiting trip to. All rides end in the gift shop!
