"But as great as that [Kentucky] crowd was, as great as our Kansas, Michigan State crowds are, you can't beat what we've experienced here in the past two years," Davis said. "I don't like to rank crowds ... but I'm so old now, I don't care if people get mad. If they get mad, be better than Virginia."

Isn't it weird seeing UVA's fanbase get complimented the way they were on ESPN all Saturday? I never thought I'd see the day when UVA has one of the top atmospheres in....anything. I guess I gotta give it up to them, but it's crazy.

Eh I gotta admit that a game at JPJ (this was before I was a huge Tech fan) was one of the best basketball atmospheres I've been a part of. Not a popular opinion but where credit is due...

My all time favorite atmosphere at a game was in 2008 when Deron Washington scored the game winner in OT at JPJ. I was court side behind the Hokie bench and in front of the UVA student section. And boy was it glorious.

Joffrey, Cersei, Ilyn Payne, the Hound, Jeff Jagodzinski, Paul Johnson, Pat Narduzzi.

I remember going to some VT-UVA games at JPJ, and the one that we won, the UVA fans were shut up and there were "Let's go... Hokies!" chants throughout the arena. I think this was Delaney and Allen's senior year.
