The Hokies handled their business against Florida State in the ACC Tournament on Wednesday night. Virginia Tech knocked of the 'Noles 96-85, as such there is GIFTORY.
When the base drops.

"We had no answer for their quickness and speed," said Florida State head coach Leonard Hamilton. "We just got beat by a team that played much better than we did tonight."

When you don't know any of Sub-Zero's other finishing moves.

A wild KJ trey appears.

"That one won't show up in the box score, but that was a beauty." — ESPN's Dan Shulman during the Four-Letter's broadcast. However, the LeSave made GIFTORY.

I paused the game and ran downstairs to show my wife Allen's dunk. I've been hard on him this year but that was awesome!
Look at the air under his feet!!!
Edit: And LeDay is just screaming at him in support after it. Awesome!!
Bilas dropped this reference after that dunk, "Spud Webbish".
Most efficient game of the season, if he and Robinson can bring that tonight watch out for VT.
I haven't watched a lot of games this year on tv so I have no idea if this is new, but was anyone else thrown off by the color changing 3 pt arc?
It seems to be ESPN's thing. They do it for all their basketball broadcasts, starting this year.
because of Curry
Stupid. Overproducing. Adds nothing.
Opened up a can of whoop ass on the Noles last night
It was even better in person
per GIF #1, it was great sportsmanship for those FSU players to help LeDay with his post jumper celebration
As soon as I saw that play last night I thought, "That's going to be on Giftory."
Beware the scowl, #seizeLeDay. Go Hokies!
Did anyone notice the guy at the scorers bench with the like neon orange hair and bushy beard? Reminded me of Dr. Zaius, but with more orange

looks familiar

I think he was the brother of this guy who was on Jeopardy on Tuesday. Yeah, Paul curls his bleached blonde hair.
I thought it was Heisenberg in disguise.
That speed and quickness Hamilton mentioned...... a result of the offseason (and in-season) workout regimen that these guys committed to. This team looks much quicker and stronger than seasons past. Not wilting at the end.
Makes me eager to see how much improvement we see from the football team next fall as well.
I like how the whole team started back on defense as soon as Blackshear let go of that 3
I immediately said "that will be a GIF" when the 2 FSU players fell.
I immediately said "that will be a foul" when any player did anything last night
I am new to watching basketball, but I think I get the 4 guard offense. If you have quick and fast players that are good shooters you can keep the middle of the court empty until you are ready to either hit a 3 or drive to the inside with minimal resistance.
What are our chances to the big dance currently looking like?
win the ACC, we're in. Every other outcome results in an NIT invite at this point.
So it's really more like, "what are our chances to win the ACC?" One game at a time. I believe that we will win!!
If we make it to the ACC final, we have a potential dark horse chance.
If UVA beats GT (Which isn't a given) and UNC beats Notre Dame we'd be looking at an RPI of 64 if we make it to the ACC Championship game and lose. Also, we'd be 8-1 in our last 9 and it'd be hard to not want a team that hot at the big dance. It wouldn't be a given, but certainly not outside the realm of possibility.
Hot streaks are not a consideration of the committee. Whole body of work. This is different than several years ago. But just like your job the measuring stick is constantly being adjusted.
Sometimes you just have to have good timing x good performance.
We may sneak in, but it's a very, very small chance.
Not factoring in hot streaks is ridiculous.
I don't disagree with you. Makes for a better tourney.
We'd also 4 wins against top 10 teams, and 13 wins in the ACC. We'd have an attractive resume that I think we'd have a good chance with if everything goes perfectly outside of the championship game.
Jay Bilas is the worst person ever
