Has anyone received their tickets yet?
I got mine today along with my season tickets, I am in Section 132 Row 1. I'm kind of concerned about being so close making it hard to see. This is my first time going to the Georgia Dome so I wanted to see if maybe I should try to sell these and try to get some in a different section. Any feedback would be great!

Hey, if you do sell them..how much do you think you'd let them go for?
I'll trade ya'.
You have front row seats. I would advise against selling. They're front row man.
There aren't really any bad seats in the Georgia Dome.
The front row does suck in my experience at other stadiums. You can't see much of the play developing and then you end up watching the whole thing on the big screen. If you can find someone to trade you mid-section seats then if I were you I'd do that.
That's kind of what I was thinking...it looks like I could sell mine on stubhub for over 300 a piece..
I don't know if anyone else has looked at the marketplace but our side is going for $3-600 and Bama is going for $500 and up.
Is that $3 or $300?
$300..
I was incorrect on my initial postas there are a few top sections in the corners that are $150+
Wow that's expensive... I wonder how many season-ticket holders just bought some to re-sell...
and that is why i can not go. just cant afford that for a ticket and a trip down there. just have a kickoff weekend party at my house. closest i can get haha
Don't sell them on stubhub, please. I'm not a buyer but I think an Alabama fan will scoop it before a VT fan will
I've been keeping an eye on stubhub, and the # of tickets and the dropping of prices suggest that the market may not be there. Maybe 'Bama fans aren't buying them up. Why pay $300 dollars for a game against an unranked team expected to lose by 17-21 pts when there are much better games on their schedule, both at home and drivable distances away. But, I think the VT fans (general fans, not the TKP diehards) have a very negative view of the game and will not spend $300 to watch their team get pummeled. I'm not so sure the game tix will sell. We'll see.
I'm also speculating that since the physical tickets have been sent out, more people will try to sell them on the open market, further driving the price down.
Hey neighbor. 132 Row 9 here
We is 134 row 3
I'm in section 349. But hey, I got tickets, that's all that counts. It's pretty much mid-field but I'm up super high. I've sat close to there before and it wasn't all too bad.
So jealous regardless of where your seats are
I'll say this. I got Row 2 in for the 2012 Sugar Bowl approximately 35 yd line, which ended up being the closest row (no Row 1). The seats were amazing. I don't know about the Georgia Dome, but in the Superdome the seats are raised, so no problems with the players and coaches blocking your view.
Also, my wife was on TV with a look of disgust/confusion on this infamous play:
Jesus. that was painful to watch again.
Question regarding student Bama Tickets. If you bought them right when they were released on hokietickets are you pretty much guaranteed to have lower level seats? Or will it depend on when you pick them up from Cassell?
I was wondering the same thing. I hope it's not based on when you pick them up because I don't know what my schedule will look like during that first week.
Exactly! It shouldn't be too terrible for me since it's the initial week though
There was a choice between lower level and upper level when you bought them so I sure hope it isn't first dibs
Oh was there? I couldn't remember. Thanks!
There definitely wasn't for me... Maybe they added that feature after a few hours. I know when I bought mine (literally 5 minutes after they went on sale) there was zero indication of where our seats could potentially be. Thats why I ordered early and am planning on picking them up as early as possible..
Yeah thats what I did too, hence why I didn't remember that option. Probably because there wasn't one haha. But idk. I am hoping those who did it super early get lower level
if I get shafted from the lower level I'm going to be pissed. I guess I'm just going to have to pick up my ticket pretty early. On the bright side, if seating is first come at least I can still sit with all my buddies that didn't get tickets as soon as they went up. Either way, #BEATBAMA
It's all based on when you get em from Cassell. Just like with BBall tix. But I think the top of the stack will end up being lower numbered sections, which I believe are in the corner, so you might be alright if you gotta wait.
Based on this page, student tickets are upper deck and you pick them up from LANE ticket office, not Cassell.

Goddammit. That is NOT what the page said when I ordered.
Yeah I didn't think it said that either honestly. I could have swore it said there's a student section in both lower and upper and they'll fill the lower level based on a first come first serve basis. Oh well, I'm just glad to still have a student connection on campus so that I could purchase the cheap $30 tickets.
If I get upper deck tickets I'm gonna be pissed. The last time I was in the dome for a college game was for the Bama UGA SEC (National) Championship and all the students were in their respective endzones in the lower deck. If we get put in the upper deck the atmosphere would not compare to what it could be and what the kickoff game wants to be
To you and HightyTighty above this comment, you got tickets for $30. Meanwhile, anybody else who isn't a student had to pay $90 if they wanted a lower level seat, $60 if they wanted an upper level one. There are no bad seats in the Georgia Dome. While I agree that there should be some student seats in the lower section, don't complain when you got the cheapest tickets out of anybody. Also, keep in mind that the student season ticket site could have been updated once they decided they would offer season tickets to Freshmen.
Actually, good sir, you got the cheapest seats of anyone. In fact, y'all get PAID to go. Lucky bastards.
Back in the day I did. Those days are gone.
