2013 VT Football Pump-Up Video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4SYExOAVXY

Last year I was fortunate enough to make it to all but one home game in Blacksburg...just by lottery luck. As the season progressed, I acquired clips at each game and made a few montages. At the end of the season I put together a compilation of all of my favorites, which I now share with you (link is at top)! I hope it's enough to add to your growing excitement for this coming season! GO HOKIES!!

That was awesome! Good work!

I liked the part where football. And especially where T. Washington got smacked by JGW. That was awesome.

You got some awesome footage man! Well done

Very cool. I like how all of the video is from a fan's perspective.

"Exit light..."

Thanks for the love everybody! It means a lot :)

The point of view from the stands is awesome. Takes me back to the days as a student. Love it!

Awesome awesome video - easily one of the best youtubes I've ever watched. Gonna send this along to my friends right now.

I hope you plan on doing it again this season; I would love to watch a similar (maybe longer?) one next year.

Glad you liked it! I will try my best to get more footage next year!

love this. it had to take a lot a dedication to capture all that footage! it's not like you know when a good play is about to happen. do you just record everything?

When I think about it, I did record almost every play. I usually ended with a couple GBs of raw footage! But I enjoyed reliving the moments when editing my videos haha! Glad you liked it; your video was amazing and was actually what motivated me to share mine :)

That is spectacular, especially capturing the footage at a high enough fps for the smooth slo-mo segments. I don't know much about photography (videography?), but it seems very rare, even for televised sports events.

Mind if I ask what camera you were using?

Thank you! I was using a Canon PowerShot SX40. It has a high speed setting that allows you to shoot at 120 or 240 fps. However, you probably noticed that when I use the higher fps settings, the video quality suffers :/

I was going to ask what camera you used. I should check to see if my camera has a setting like that. I have a cannon t4i. Here is a photo I took this past spring at graduation:

Damn all those silly fans for celebrating plays and obstructing the view!!! Oh wait...
