Wang isn't hanging up his cleats, he was awarded a 6th year.
Yep. I believe it reads as "Wang's [medical hardship waiver] is a done deal" not "Wang's [career] is a done deal"
"Wang's is a done deal" is referring to his 6th year being approved. He is therefore classified as a redshirt junior and will have another year to play after this one. (Hooray Guard / Center depth).
Edit. Yeah I read that last part wrong.
I swear it seems like Wang has been on the team for the last 10 yrs....
between him and his brother... it's quite possible.
