Apparently you shouldn't eat the beef in Mexico in addition to not drinking the water. This is kind of crazy.

They've also said this about eating meat in China. It's ridiculous that they're trying to force the athletes to not eat meat overseas although it may be what they know best in their diet, and can really harm their performance if their diets aren't adequate/normal. Sad that Duane got the hammer because he just ate burgers and steaks from Baja California and had to fight to get it overturned. Hope it doesn't happen to any other players, the fact that the NFL isn't being lenient about this just shows that they don't care as much about the players as people as they should. But glad to see Duane rightfully able to play again this season
I got the impression that they were warning players that eating meat from those places gives what is essentially a false positive on the drug tests. I don't think it has anything to do with trying to regulate their diet.
Best line out this story:
I'm not sure if ESPN is trying to be funny or they have actual sources that they spoke to ask what Brown will eat in Mexico. If actual sources, why? who? and why keep them secret as "sources"?
Weird fact from Tyrod's Reddit AMA: He doesn't eat beef, only chicken and fish.
Which is weird because any time you go to Mike's Grill, there are tons of pictures of him at the front counter when he was a student here. I was under the assumption pretty much everyone orders a burger when they went to Mike's...
Their calzones aren't too bad either.
Excellent crispy chicken sammiches as well.
*sauces
Man.... hokies and mexican food. I'm having flashbacks:
Wyatt Teller loves Taco Bell
I drank the water in Mexico and it messed me up pretty badly. I was on my honeymoon, and the last day I brushed my teeth without without thinking to use the little bottle of water next to the sink they provide.
Happened to me in the Dominican Republic. Those little automatic things that we do every day...
I think I ended up paying $10 for a little bottle of Pepto to help clog the pipes.
Spent a day of vacation in the DR in the room for the same thing (I think). Always hard to tell if is something you caught from someone else, something that sat too long on a buffet, or rinsing a toothbrush in the sink. Sucks either way. As a tip, always pack the Imodium AD in your travel bag. Most cruise lines and several inclusive resorts will require a visit to the infirmary for testing and a 24 hr quarantine to get it on ship/resort just to make sure it is something you ate or drank.
Strange story.
He should've gone with "the bitch set me up" defense /s
So I am guessing the will be a rise in the amount of players who have "visited" mexico and China just in case when they fail drug test in the future.
