Except for the wave. If I saw a wave in Lane for a real game, unless during halftime, I would be embarrassed.

Hate to break it to you, but there have been many, many waves during real games. It has been one of my pet peeves for a long time, but I've stayed pretty quiet about it since it feels a bit "get off my lawn"-ish to complain. I've even had to take jokes from surrounding fans when I stay seated as it comes around the stadium- why I don't join in? Do I not like fun? etc. I'm ok with the wave during halftime or even late 4th quarter of a blowout win, but for a number of years there, it was popping up in every single game- usually mid 3rd quarter, and sometimes while we were on offense. I find that pretty embarrassing. I don't think it happened in 2015 (or at the very least it didn't happen every game), so I've been hoping that trend will continue in the future. I guess I'm not fun.
I have distinct memories of it happening during every whiteout game during my 4 years, which was usually a "preseason" game

Same here! I was like "what the crap is this just some dude on the field!?" For like the first minute. Then I moved my phone and saw the screen move and was like
that is pretty cool!
That at the Liberty game is going to be epic. If Fuente liked the Spring game entrance, wait until he is in that! He'll know right then he is glad he took this job.

I bet the Thursday Night game against da U will be the best one of the season. Especially if both teams are in contention for the Coastal
I agree, but that will be the FIRST one and with a new HC and Offensive staff, the stands will be packed and we, the fans, will be loud!
I'm not convinced the stands will be packed. I hope they are. I, regrettably, will not be making the trip down for the Liberty game because I am going to the Battle at Bristol. I do plan on making it down for most of the rest of the home games. The Thursday Night game might be tough for me to swing but we'll see.
I think it will be pretty packed. With all the excitement over a new coach, new offense, and new QB, I'm sure that will really keep people's interest. I mean we just had 40,000+ for a spring game. I seem to remember the opener against Bill and Mary a few years ago being pretty packed just because of so many new players on offense (Brewer, Ford, Phillips, Bucky, etc.)

I'm not sure how many more people showed up after this video but from the looks of it, the crowd approximation may have been slightly exaggerated
It didn't fill up until the near the end of the 1st quarter. People were still finding seats when the offense first took the field.
