So if you look at the number of fingers they are holding up, (5 on far left, 5 next to him, 2 on far right) it would appear they are attempting to show off how many straight years they have lost to Tech. Along with #28 showing off a big ol zero bowl wins and I say this is an SOS poster.

I don't think that pier is in the 757. Anyone recognize it?
To long to be Sandbridge or Oceanfront. To small to be Harrisons, and to much surf to be on the Peninsula???

I think it's a fitting image. LOLUVa has a pier, we have a bridge (Torg). Come to tech, all your hard work will get you somewhere. Go to LOLUVa? Well, just see where you'll be when all is said and done.

considering their shenanigans with their "spring festival" i wouldn't be surprised if they just grabbed some rando pier pic from the net and used it for this graphic...LOL

Just by curiosity if we had a similar poster, how many players would be in it? Go football roster gods do you magic! And are the ones pictured starters or bench warmers too?

Looks like the loluva media team is up to their old tricks again. Mark Hall, 59 on the front row, has what looks to be the largest left hand I've ever seen. And Mizzell, holding the flag, looks like he'd rather be anywhere but loluva, which I would imagine any of them would be thinking.

On December 6, 2017 we could potentially be holding the cup for 4,757 days. That would be a nice little recruiting pitch in a certain part of the state

757 days of holding the Cup occurred on 24.12.2006
7570 days of holding the Cup will occur on 19.08.2025
75700 days happens on 02.03.2212
757757 days is on 29.07.4079

hasn't helped with recruiting that I've noticed. People don't really care that we are beating a terrible team and it's not as if UVA is our direct competition with the top kids in state.

For some reason, #HOOSRISING makes me think of the saying "a rising tide lifts all boats" as in, "well, we're not really getting better, per se, but all the teams who make us their whipping boy are and we get more money because of profit sharing in the ACC. So yeah, hoos rising? we are, just not because we're actually getting any better"

Are you insinuating that 757 recruits for football would rather go to an institution in Research Tri vs Tech? So UNC, NCSU, ECU, WFU & Duke > Tech in football?? This is interesting.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Well.... we're already losing recruits to UNC, Duke, and NCSU before this highway is built. And now, it'll be a quicker and easier trip to get to the Triangle than Tech.... so.... Yeah, I'd say it'll hurt

Which brings up more questions: Are we losing 757 recruits at a greater rate to Research Tri schools than they lose to us? Does the state of NC have recruits that are equivalent to recruits in the 757? Is Tech on pace to have lower ranked recruiting classes than Research Tri schools?

a.) Roadwork is slow. Looks like 10 years before it's even put on the plans.
b.) Looks like most of the route is using existing roads, many of which are already interstate-ready. And the bulk of the new construction would be VDOT's responsibility.

Man, these guys just can't count. It's been WAY more than 757 days since UVA beat VT in football. Nearly 6 times more, in fact...
If you photoshop it and copy it repeatedly, they'll get there eventually.
So if you look at the number of fingers they are holding up, (5 on far left, 5 next to him, 2 on far right) it would appear they are attempting to show off how many straight years they have lost to Tech. Along with #28 showing off a big ol zero bowl wins and I say this is an SOS poster.
Dude in the back looks eerily similar to Dadi Nicholas.
The one guy in the back figuratively shooting himself in the head, while they all are drowning in a sea of Mike London tears.
Jokes on them, #28 can't play in that crop top
The joke has always been -- and always will be --on them.
there we go
I don't think that pier is in the 757. Anyone recognize it?

from the angle, it looks like the Virginia Beach Pier on 14th Street.
here's a reference pic:
They must be recruiting mermaids to use a pic of a pier....

Yes good analogy- the pier is more of like walking the plank....
True.
What is a pier other than a "bridge to nowhere".
Seems to fit the UVa method.
*moved*
They Googled "pier"
considering their shenanigans with their "spring festival" i wouldn't be surprised if they just grabbed some rando pier pic from the net and used it for this graphic...LOL
Are those even real players or did they photoshop images of players to make it seem like they have real football players?
It's a shame that UVA wasted the latent of 9 players from the 757 area. Luckily, VT has more than 9 players from 757 to make the area proud.
If anything this makes the 757 look bad
Looks like to me they jumped OFF that pier, because they wasted their college careers at UVa.
Just by curiosity if we had a similar poster, how many players would be in it? Go football roster gods do you magic! And are the ones pictured starters or bench warmers too?
10-13.
Official count, spring roster plus July recruit arrivals = 20.
"We're going to need a bigger pier!"
Some of those gloves look awfully photoshopped. Just sayin'.
HoosRising? Not UVA
The tide rises and falls regardless, but the good times are at low tide.
Sweet #beachflow there, Hoos.

Neat. Here are a few more important dates:
757 days of holding the Cup occurred on 24.12.2006
7570 days of holding the Cup will occur on 19.08.2025
75700 days happens on 02.03.2212

True, but Mike London did manage to snag a few top recruits.
Seemed like he had some propaganda going.

Our only offers are from uva!
Official song of the 757 hoos:
Sittin' on the dock of the bay
Watchin' the tide roll away.
Sittin' on the dock of the bay
Wastin' time.....
I feel like there should be a Bama joke in here somewhere
So, LOLUVa football has a pier. We can't say we have a pier. I guess that makes us peerless when it comes to Virgina collegiate football.
Pergola and a pier. Tough to compete with that.
Speaking of the 757, the US DOT just gave NC & Va permission today to create Interstate 87, linking Raleigh, NC to Norfolk, Va....
So... that won't make recruiting any easier for Tech
Are you insinuating that 757 recruits for football would rather go to an institution in Research Tri vs Tech? So UNC, NCSU, ECU, WFU & Duke > Tech in football?? This is interesting.

we lose more of the higher rated kids to them than they do to us.

Here is my question. Would they use the Chesapeake Expressway or build a new roadway altogether?
