I mean just look at this
4* 2017 MS RB Cam Akers decommits from Alabama
2018 4-star OT Dare Rosenthal decommits from Alabama
and then this
"I told coach Saban about my official visits," Leatherwood said. "He was like, 'Have fun.'"
Five-star offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood will be involved in a tug-of-war this year, as the nation's No. 9 overall prospect committed to the Crimson Tide in early June
I think I can see the lit torches in Tuscaloosa from Blacksburg

Can we please avoid the click bait titles. Also, whenever there's a news article in the form of a question the answer is almost always no.
agreed.
Nope, objectively that would be Akron's staff, with only 14 recruits, none of which are 3* or above. Alabama is doing just fine.
Well...I thought this part was interesting:
"I told coach Saban about my official visits," Leatherwood said. "He was like, 'Have fun.'"
Does that mean Saban gave him the impression that he didn't care/wasn't worried, or was that a snide comment meant to mean "don't let the door hit you on the way out"?
If Saban was fine with him taking visits, I think that is noteworthy, and worth conversation.
The kid was probably wondering the same thing about that statement. Saban and his mind games.
Saban is in a position to not worry about these things. If he goes somewhere else he will just sign one of the multitude of other kids wanting to play for him.
VT does not have that good fortune. We shouldn't get all bent out of shape when it happens for sure. underage kids will change their mind. But we need a larger pool of kids to pull from. Restock the shelves so we don't need to worry so much when one drops out.
He'll keep an eye on them.

Nope
Too early. But regardless, answer is no.
I wish we were in a spot where we could afford to lose a ton of 4* recruits and brush is a visit from a top 10 at his position recruit because our roster and recruiting classes are currently filled with players of a higher caliber...
the opposite...Alabama is consistently the best recruiters every year.

Yep.
I read the full article, the context for Satan's comment is that he's not afraid of a recruiting battle. Why should he be worried. All he has to say is "you'll win a Natty and get exposure to the NFL".
The same Alabama that currently has the #3 ranked class and has had the #1 class what 4 years in a row? Yup, pretty lousy recruiters.
I could see that being a go-to saban quote in regards to recruiting and on field play. They probably will finish first again it's ridiculous.
Whether this post is click bait, TIC, or simply a lighter view of our recent recruiting woes, it does prove that there can be hundreds of reasons why a recruit commits or even decommits from a school and we as fans don't know shit.
Sorry I forgot the /s. But watching two threads on a recruit reopening a recruitment and the reactions on here, I wasn't sure what some people were thinking about recruiting at top schools.
The more aggresive recruiting VT stays doing the more it's going to happen also
Nick Saban losing a recruit is like Bill Gates losing a $100 bill from his pocket.
Very apt simile. So I guess we're one of the homeless guys in the dog pile scrambling to retrieve said $100 bill?
