During a teleconference Monday, head coach Mike London revealed that David Watford has been named as the Cavaliers starting quarterback. The Hampton (Va.) product beat out redshirt freshman Greyson Lambert for the starting job.

I'm surprised he made this decision nearly three weeks out of their first game.
You have to think London has to stick with one guy this year and give him a fair chance. UVA fans have to be getting tired of the back and forth game going on here. They want a starting QB that will be around for more than one whole season, not a few games or every other drive.
To be fair, half of your statement is predicated on UVA actually having fans...
And even if they had fans, they'd wouldn't know more than to ask "I'm supposed to wear a blazer, tie, and croakie on my sunglasses to games, right?"

It's a beautiful thing, getting to read a "Litany of LOLUVA Futility". Here's to hoping that Watford adds his name to the long and forgettable list of UVA QB's who never beat VT.
I had the opportunity to sit in on UVA's scrimage on Saturday....not a lot of #1's v. #1's, but did not see a lot to make me nervous about the boys in blue. Mizzell will likely be starting before the end of the season, if not early in the season. They're definitely gonna need that third digit for the visitor's side of the scoreboard against the Ducks.

It was interesting...it was a closed scrimmage...it could have been open, and it wouldn't have mattered....it was held at lambeth field (their first stadium) which is bounded by a hill and dorms, so nobody would have known it was going on. They build a multimillion dollar practice facility, and they hold a scrimmage in an ancient stadium?? The scrimmage wasn't advertised, so not many outside of the program knew about it. Felt kinda like the spring game. Except no flubbed punts. Of course, they didn't do any punts, but that's beside the point.
Tech had more fans at UVA's scrimmage then UVA did.
Fun fact, pretty sure I played with this kid at William and Mary football camp a few years back, has great athleticism but very raw, which I think has been evident in his early career
