Virginia Tech wide receiver Isaiah Ford is the lone Hokie voted to the 2016 All-ACC preseason football team by the league's media.
Ford was a first team All-ACC selection in 2015 by both the media and coaches. The Jacksonville, Florida native set Virginia Tech records for catches (75) and touchdown receptions (11) in single-season last year. Ford also became the first Virginia Tech player to eclipse the 1,000 yard receiving mark in a single season (1,164).

I regret that I have but one leg to give for this response.
Not a lot of seniors at the offensive skill positions, should make for 2 good years of acc offenses.
It feels like we really have something special in Ford. I know it's a lofty goal, but I think he has a realistic shot at being the best receiver in the history of the program by the time he's done. Unfortunately it also feels like his ceiling is more about where the program is right now than what he's capable of.
Lot of Va boys on that list who don't play for VT...
And VT's best guy is from FL and doesn't play for a FL school.

I know he's had a few injury problems, but I am shocked Facyson didn't receive a single vote.
He really hasn't done anything of note since 2013 (injuries, of course), so I can understand why it would seem unfair to give a guy with no interceptions and 2.5 tackles per game last year such an honor.
You're absolutely right that injuries have hampered him. And I guess that is what's holding the media back from giving him even a single vote. But, he definitely played at a high level last year. I remember this article was shared on TKP last October. Knowing he has this ability is why I'm surprised no one gave him any votes. I wasn't expecting that he'd be voted All-ACC. Just that he would have received some form of recognition.
Plus, David Hale again mentioned him as one of the better corners in the ACC. I thought that would indicate a couple media members may have considered him a possibility.
Preseason media hype doesn't matter at all, but I do believe that this is a bit surprising how under the radar Facyson is this year.
Our OL got a lot of votes as a unit, if not tops individually.

Very true, I always forget that he was a big surprise switch that year. For all the guys that have been "stolen" from us, we really took a special of our own.

Clemson should be good.....but 10 out of 26 spots seems excessive.
