In the spirit of golf today, I wanted to highlight that we have one of the top recruits in the world for college golf. I'm not sure if this is a reputable source but according to this website, VT has commitments from the 14th, 76th, and 372nd ranked players.
According to HokieSports, the 14th ranked recruit, Sarit Suwannarut, recently won a pro tour event in Thailand.
Given the recent news of the ACC Network, I would love to see more coverage of non Football & Basketball ACC sports.

I saw suwannarut on golf channel last week. Watched for a few minutes with my coffee before headin to work. He had a couple nice shots for the short time I saw him. Welcome to hokie nation.
I wonder if playing enter sandman when vt players hit the first tee is a thing?
Nice. Would love to watch a little VT golf this year.
Walk up music, like a reliever coming out of the bullpen!!!!
Although after walking up to the first tee after hearing Sandman, I wouldn't be able to calm down enough to hit the first shot.
Put some Happy Gilmore on it.
I'm glad someone got the reference that I was going for with that gif!
You got something against golf?

It'd be fine, but only if they can time their shot to when Hetfield goes "BOOM!" (And there's just enough time after that to determine where your shot is going before saying, "Yeah, yeah!")
Joey Lane from the team has been doing pretty well this summer.
Does this mean that "VT got a 5 star"?
Bama comin
Would it be a recruiting violation to
offer celebrity rounds withaccidently run into Beamer?Cracking down on recruiting violations for golf would be so NCAA. I can see the headlines now " Va Tech receives the death penalty for inappropriate benefits for golf recruit. In other news, UNC's athlete gpa a shining example of putting academics first..."
FWIW, also signed a pair of twin girls from NC that are 75 and 83. Good to build on a young a program with tight-knit players.
And WTH is the kid from Blacksburg going to West-by-god Virginia??!!
They seem a little old but if they can play sure bring them on.
two words, forward tees!
So they're like way hotter than 10's??
If age has taught them anything, its how to effectively stroke those long shafted woods. I wonder if they use the overlapping grip?
something, something, something... balls.
Tho has anyone heard that radio (I think it was radio) bit where they take the golfer commentator's comments out of context to make them all sexual?
