Yesterday evening the #72/#77 nationally ranked HS wrestler Cole Manley commited to VT. Manley is the 3rd member of the class of 2017, joining Hunter Bolen and John Borst. Manley currently wrestles at 126 lbs (Ranked #10-#15 in his weight) and will likely figure at 125/133 in the future for the hokies.
The hokie wrestling machine continues to roll.

This class is incredible. Awesome news
Wrestling greatness just seems like a perfect match for VT's sports identity.
I remember when my son wrestled in his first match way back when...talk about intensity as a parent. That is as amped as you will ever get watching your boy out there mano a mano. Great sport.
It really is a great fit for the Old lunch pail mentality that VT fans hold dear. Wrestling maybe moreso than any other sport proves who works their butt off every day when no ones watching, especially with the weight management. Cant lie to a scale...
I like it.
Fits in with the overall principle of #getBETTER.
Doesn't have to just be for basketball.
Wrestling's mantra is #RaisingTheBar
I really wish I knew more about the sport and the last 3-4 seasons results/roster. It always appears to be consistently VT's top NCAA program.
If you can deal with all the morons on TSL that Chris and Will let by with posting garbage and letting those same morons by with down voting solid and positive posts and trying to intimidate people who have an opinion but when they post it, they get trashed by Will and Chris favs, check out TSL wrestling forum and check out Jersey29s posts and a couple of others on that forum and you will learn a lot about the sport. I know I did.
Awesome recruiting class. Not sure how big it will be with so many older wrestlers in the program right now. Will be interesting to see how weight classes shake out.
With the almost guaranteed 5 year cycle, were currently replacing 3 starters with this class. McFadden also has flex with his R's year so I think there might be one more big name
