I'll have a story about the receivers in Wednesday's paper and receivers coach Aaron Moorhead's disdain for drops. Stanford said that's not the only thing that bugs him.
"He gets angry about everything," Stanford said. "Wrong alignment, theyre very particular about yards and being six yards from the hash or five yards. Hell be angry if youre off end and youre split. That type of stuff. He stresses consistency at all phases of football -- catching, lining up, running routes, knowing what to do, all your reads. And thats what we need to do as football players."
Man. If Moorehead keeps it up, he's gonna be Torrian Gray of the receivers. I don't think I have heard Kevin Sherman being this intense.
I LOVE OUR NEW COACHES!

I agree, I look at Moorehead and think of him as an offensive version of Torrian. Glad their squads line up across from each other. That is going to be a highly productive competition. I think we'll be good on the outside for years to come.

This gem: "I think its going to make or break the offense, honestly," McCray. "They move us. And I think it causes a lot of mismatches. I think the whole concept of the offense is to be able to move people around, make it so you can put one of your better players on one of their worst or weaker players, and just make mismatches how you want them and not allow the defense to pick and choose."
What a concept. If the offense wasn't doing this in the past, why not?

From what I understand the ocain and steinspring were calling plays for Logan to run but not allowing any offensive adjustment. When Logan would stop, back out from under center and stare at the sideline, that was a coach either telling him go run the play or audible and if it was an audible, the play was also spelled out. Logan was given no opportunity to read the defense, no opportunity to move receivers etc. Logan, conceivably, could see that the defense was lined up perfectly to counter his play and couldn't do one thing about it. It was silly...but this looks like a good start in the right direction.
