Mark Shuman Knee Injury- MRI Scheduled Today

According to tweets by Mike Barber ( www.twitter.com/RTD_MikeBarber ) Hokie swing tackle Mark Shuman, who was contending for playing time at both tackles spots after finishing the spring with a decent performance at left guard, has suffered a knee injury. He is scheduled for an MRI today.

With the defection of Adam Taraschke and the injury troubles of Jake Goins, essentially the Hokies only have three scholarship tackles left: Jonathan McLaughlin, Laurence Gibson, and Augie Conte. Parker Osterloh has moved inside to guard, with Marcus Mapp available as a walk on.

Also, Antone Exum posted a tweet saying that he was praying for Shuman and for Tony Gregory. None of the beat writers have reported an injury to Gregory (who was listed as the #2 tailback on Beamerball today), but he has a history of chronic knee problems.

Shuman going down is not good. Odds are he was going to be a 2nd string tackle but depth is a huge concern already

Pretty soon the plan is going to be to have Logan snap the ball to Logan, while having Logan block while Logan hands off to Logan. That will put is in third-and-Logan pretty often, at which point Logan will LoganDozer over Logan.

Hodor.

@VTGuitarMan...What is your prediction for the Logan vs. Alabama game?

VHokie

Logan will Logan through them on the way to scoring Logan points, with Logan of them coming on touchdowns. Logan will Logan their quarterback while singlehandedly playing defense. He will Logan several kicks that will result in a net gain of Logan yards.
