"A minor setback for a major comeback."
-Victor "Macho" Harris
As of now, we are still 0-0. We've got the talent. It's time for us to forge ahead, walk into Atlanta and show them exactly what we are.
We are the Hokie nation. Nothing stands in our way, especially when we are looked at as the underdog.
The world will be shocked in 15 days.

Well then I guess this would be an appropriate place to put this. Seth28 got the flag and the hat (I'm assuming that guy is your interpreter, seth28). Here it is, a prouder picture I've never seen
good job Horse
That's a thing of beauty. Horse you are a stallion and a scholar. Very Hokie move by you good sir.
Stay safe out there seth28 and thanks for having the sack to do what most won't.
Edit: PLEASE tell me that the return address said "HorseOnATreadmill"
Ugh. Should have. Totally didn't think of it. Actually, I don't think there was a return address on it at all. One way ticket. Whoever ended up with the flag and hat would have been better for it.
This is awesome. Thank you Seth28 for your service and Horse, for your generosity. Hokie Nation is the best.
up vote x10 if i could
You did a good thing Horse! And many thanks to Seth28 for his service. :)
You are good, AMB, but the past tense confuses me...
I'm pretty sure you sent the flag in the past. Unless somehow you haven't sent it yet and he sent you the picture from the future...
You do everything well Horse ;)
Horse I can't thank you enough for sending me this! I fly my colors w pride everywhere I go. I'm going to have our a-10 pilots fly this on a combat mission and send it back after I hang it up in the gym also ill include joes beat bama shirt he sent. Told ya I had a special surprise for you guys. Thanks again man.
HANG UP THAT FLAG! HOKIE PRIDE.
It's going up in our gym!
One of the best pics I've seen since this one (also from TKP, some time ago...June 2011). I followed the link to the original post, from an Iraq vet. Thank you for your service and school pride, airman, wherever you are!
Thats possibly one of the greatest pictures ever. I wish I could tell if that was an F-18 or an F-15 but I'm leaning towards it being a super hornet
F/A-18 Super hornet, apparently out of oceana.
Thought so. If its out of Oceana then I've probably seen that jet before. I used to lifeguard at a country club right under their flight path to the runway. #AlloftheSuperHornets
Aren't they usually based off of aircraft carriers?
Yes, probably assigned to a carrier out of Norfolk.
If you enlarge the picture, the name below the cockpit is Lt. T (something...unreadable) Campbell....with the call sign (and this is the best part) "SweetHokie". You gotta love it. I have this picture as part of my scrolling aircraft screensaver on my home computer.
Thanks for pointing that out! Officially the best jet ever.
According to the Google machine, VFA-41 is the Black Aces, based out of NAS Lemoore in California.
Then I stand corrected! Good research VB
from wikipedia..
I took the VFA call sign to be a Virginia unit.
V=Fixed Wing, F=Fighter, A=Attack
My cousin, Marine Corps Huey gunship pilot, explained them to me a few months back while I was visiting Camp Pendleton.
EDIT: *sigh* should have continued scrolling through all the replies...
I love this picture too ....obviously. It is my inspiration which will soon be replicated while I flyover Lane Stadium inverted, if the sequestration ever ends :/
Definitely a Super Hornet....the square intakes and transponder mount on the nose set it apart from one of the Legacy Hornets.
VFA stands for "Fighter/Attack" - Navy squadrons are all coded - V stands for Fixed Wing, F for fighter, A for attack. The old F-14s use to be just "VF" as they were mostly dedicated fighters.
Hokie Nation has had to over come much more then this "Immortal" Alabama team we face on Aug 31st. Remember this season?
Our boys are working hard right now to prepare for Bama. Hold the faith and believe!
Hokies!
I hadn't seen that before; thanks for sharing. 2007-2008 was my Sophomore year and watching those highlights really brings me back. Being in the stands for the ECU game was probably the most cathartic experience of my life.
Best goosebumps/chills I've had in a long time
This should be required viewing for all incoming VT football players. I have so many vivid memories of that season. What a great team.
That is very likely my favorite Hokie team ever
America. Virginia Tech football. Fuck yeah.
Preach!
