All VT coaches seem to be recent followers on Twitter, so too are Garbutt and Hunter. It seems like a long shot, but getting Wade on campus can't hurt.

I mean he should visit for the UVa game. Why bother visiting to watch our CBs vs the GT offense and fuck ECU
Excellent. What a land that would be.
good lord, that would be the hotness
Imagine getting him and Hunter....
This made me laugh out loud at work which i changed mid laugh into a throat clear so I wouldn't be looked at weirdly.
So you ended up with an "oh" face.
Why don't you have a seat over here.
Hi, I'm Chris Haaaansen... Wait, no, that doesn't sound right.
Voted for the UVA game!
I think the fact that he is asking to visit campus speaks volumes
That is not always the case. A couple of years ago, Isaiah McKenzie (now at UGA) wrote on twitter than "Virginia Tech is my dream school." After he wrote that, he immediately got an offer and took an official visit. I think it was apparent that his intentions were not completely pure. It's a little ironic that Shane Beamer is now the ST coach at UGA.
And I wish we had gotten him too, he is such a good return man.
I was actually eating at Sal's in Blacksburg next to Coach Lefty when this whole deal was going down. Lefty was pretty pissed about the kid to be honest. He was talking about how short he was and how there was nothing he could do with him on offense but they still had to spend the day taking him around and showing him everything even though he knew he wouldn't use him.
Well based on how the kid played during his Freshman year at UGA, I'd say this speaks more to Lefty's shortsightedness (no pun intended) and his ability as a talent developer.
Was gonna say, I understand this is potentially out of context and that certain guys are always better fits than others in certain schemes, but this just strikes me as a really poor attitude for a coach to have towards recruiting.
Yeah no kidding, could you imagine this "no talent short kid" in Fuente's system?
And this could be our happy daily reminder that Boston College hired Scot Loeffler.
I hope Mr. Loeffler donates a lot to charity or tips well or is a really nice guy to random people, because he downright sucks with college kids. Another anecdote on the pile.
bring back Coach Jagz and you have a hokie hate dream team
be forewarned- Loeffler's best days as a coordinator were against coaches that he once worked for.
Good thing he never worked for Fuente.
In actuality the Addazzio/Loeffler combo has me a bit worried. They were effective at Temple and I worry that Addazzio knows how to keep him focused and reigned in. I hope I'm wrong.
exactly my fear. Addazio is a dude and he knows how to keep another dude focused so he doesn't have to be all like "Duuuude?!" to the dude, and instead can be like "DUUUUUDE!" with the dude. I have thought this from the moment it was announced he was getting hired there.
If Loeffler shows up with a kick ass mustache then we are all in trouble.
This is the strong mustache game:

I wouldnt be too worried those Temple stats are highly inflated by having a certain Bernard Pierce in their backfield.
The ironic thing is about this discussion is Loeffler and more or less the offensive staff with him were better at recruiting than he was as a coordinator.
True. BC has Hillman who is 6' 229lbs to Pierce's 230lbs. BC always has an OL and Addazio is known for pounding the rock. Pierce was a good back but what if Hillman is the same type of runner that Addazio likes and can be effective with? I do agree that recruiting was better than coordinating.
Like I said, I hope I'm wrong but I'm concerned about the game. Throw in that I'll be attending it live and my recent track record isn't so great (last two I've been to were Cinci at Hell Hole Field and the Duke debacle in Lane 2013 edition)
Fuente doesn't run the defense.
Not really. Our staff isn't allowed to pay for him to come here, so he's saying he is looking for a way down, meaning a parent/hs coach/friend has to take him from Pennsylvania to Blacksburg, not always easy to set up. I think it's a pretty safe bet the coaches are open to having him.
Even if he has already made up his mind on a school, a player of this caliber making this gesture online says a lot about the state of our recruiting right now.
This would be yuuuuuge
I definitely voted! uVA
Oh I got this:
What is a phrase that will never be uttered by the CFB playoff committee?
A good clean game with no injuries.
Georgia Tech GameECU would be the better one as they are the one most likely to get our defensive backfield involved.
GT is all about the front 7/8, and I expect LOLUVA to be...no comment.
Except LOLUVA would have him visiting us late in the season so we can make a strong push closer to signing day.
^This is the best point for UVa. The counterpoint is it's at the end of the students' Thanksgiving break, and cold.
ECU could be good because it's Homecoming/Orange Effect.
Homecoming crowds are the worst though. Greeks buy up a bunch of tickets, don't give a shit about the game, then stream for the exits after halftime.
This is true. He would have to sit through the halftime too..
As someone in a fraternity, I can honestly say I've never experienced this issue when I was on campus.
At least not to the extent that it could be singled down to only Greek Life that buys tickets and leaves early.
It's definitely more of a thing during the homecoming game every year. Usually it's sorority girls cheering on their candidate and then not caring for the entire game and leaving at halftime. Obviously there are some members of Greek life that like the football team, but Homecoming usually brings out the ones that don't.
