About a month and a half ago I was starting to get really pumped for Hokies football and got curious about our dominance in the ACC, so I posted this. I have tried to keep my mind free of all of this expansion talk, but it seems now that talk of the Hokies to the SEC is now coming up about once a week, even with University officials stating that they have no interest in leaving the ACC. So, once again I got curious, how would the Hokies win total fare against win totals of current SEC teams since 2004. The results are posted below:

Now, I know that the level of competition in the SEC is higher than it is in the ACC, but this is still very interesting. What do you guys think?

That forced Weaver to answer the real question: We don't want to leave the ACC as is, but if things changed...he all but said we won't stay around in a watered-down league if given the chance to move onto something more relevant in the near future.

Looks like the closest are Florida, Georgia and Alabama, with a few 9-win seasons and a "down" year of 7 or 8.
