Awesome collection. Thanks for your efforts.
Second row, all the way on the right, the celebration in the end zone. You can see an ECU fan flipping the bird. Hilarious.
There's two of them doing it
Oooh scary
6 more times before the day was complete.
ECU fans are a classy bunch.
Last year on my way from Raleigh to Blacksburg for the game I'm flying my VT flags. I got smoked by a car full of ECU sorority sisters all flipping the bird out the window.
Needless to say I was hoping for a Lee Corso style lightning bolt.
As unfortunate as that may be, flipping the bird in North End Zone is more than common. So we can't say but so much about the classiness of ECU's fanbase, at least in that respect.
And to that guy's right (our left) is the Freddie Mercury dude or another guy with an epic mustache. Can't tell if same guy from another thread or not.
Absolutely the same guy. There is only one of him to go around, thank God
Check the "block" at the right. I was seeing this all game. I remember at one point Ekanem got grabbed by the front collar and damn near pulled off his feet and it was a no-call. It could have been much worse for ECU were any of these holds being called:
well when you're blocking your own players on a safety maybe the refs let one slide
Classic. Love it.
ECU's triple-team of Williams while Ekanem & Edmunds go untouched to the QB was a thing of beauty.
And Nigel still got penetration. They had to hold him to keep him from being joining the gang sack.
What are the three guys behind the tackle doing, playing patty cake?
Go back and watch the replay of Larry, Curly & Moe. They were just...WTF?
You have to give them credit for playing to the whistle.
But you mind find a gum wrapper or a Lego, and maybe a penny or two.
mumansky: "I saw this one coming."
Also, I must say your cannon fire game is on-point.
Thank you! There's a few photographers at the games that are basically in open competition to see who can capture the flame on a Skipper shot during the day, i'd say it's making us all better at it.
do you know a guy named scooter from 247? he's a coworker that moonlights doing photography for them.
I know him casually, we talk on the sidelines on gamedays.
these are great! Thank you!
The cheerleader in the last picture is fuckin pumped about Motley's TD
Frank looks great.
Tim Settle is a beast NOT to be toyed with:
Please pray for that poor lineman that got in the way of Apartment-Sized Tim Settle
Perusing the gallery, I found your gem. It's the one where the Edmunds Bros meet up at Zay Jones for the team tackle.
Great photos. Thanks.
Wonderful pictures, thanks.
ok, first of all
ECU shirt in the family section behind our bench... Something doesn't feel right about that
And that moment when you realize you just wasted away a Saturday afternoon...
What the heck is the point of wearing that hat without the drinks!
It's his thinking hat...duh!
It demonstrates how many thoughts the typical ECU fan has.
Anyone else notice he's wearing a game jersey from the R+L Carriers Bowl? Former player?
Good eye, that definitely looks like a real jersey, not a replica.
Looks like it could be a former player - Drayvon Fairley, who wore #43 as a Freshman in 2012 when they went to the New Orleans Bowl.
This is the kind of crowdsourced research I have come to expect from you, Alum. Nicely done
#43 for ECU for that bowl game was Daley Hall....Kicker. This is not him.
You sure? I'm looking at their roster for that season on the ECU website, and its showing Drayvon as wearing 43 that year. Did a search for Daley Hall ECU on Google, and it only brings up a bio for a track runner.
As sure as someone googling stuff at work on their phone can be....../s
I stand corrected.
Hah, I wasn't trying to call you out, I was genuinely curious. Took me way too long to find out the info I did and even then I couldn't find a good image of the guy in uniform to be sure. Thought you might have had more luck than I.
Great shots as usual, but have you thought about moving the watermark to the right or left corner? It seems to take away from some of the shots being in the center. Especially, the Skipper shot.
I thought he put it there for the punch to the groin effect on the Summers sack. /s
While I understand your point, the issue with having the watermark on the sides of the picture makes it much easier to for others to crop out that section and claim the picture as their own.
I figured that was the reasoning for it being centered like it is. I just hate that it's covering some good shots. The Skipper pic is a great shot, but the bulk of Skipper is covered by the watermark. Eh, what can you do though?
He's just changed it to have it in the center. I know because I'm using what was first uploaded as my desktop background and it has THEKEYPLAY(dot)COM written in large font in the bottom right hand corner.
Joe and I are messing with watermarks lately, so you may see them change a few times.
Pictures are great. I love it. Anyone who sees my desktop will be sure to see TKP on it. It's good advertising honestly.
I thought one of the perks of being in The key players club was getting high res copies of these pictures? Maybe those don't have the watermark?
