Jerod Evans has been selected as the Allstate Sugar Bowl's Manning Award QB of the Week for Week 4 of 2016. A Facebook contest selected Evens over seven other Stars of the Week. More of his stats are described at the Sugar Bowl link below, in addition to the hype discussed here, here, and here.
Evans connected on 13-of-20 passes for a career-high 282 yards and three scores while adding 97 rushing yards, also a career-high, and another score in a 54-17 win over East Carolina. Through four games, he is completing 67 percent of his passes for 964 yards and 13 touchdowns. He has just one interception and it came off a tipped pass.
He is not on the pre-season watch list, but "all quarterbacks remain eligible for the honor. Midseason additions to the Watch List will be announced on Wednesday, October 12. The list of 10 finalists will be released on Wednesday, November 30. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, January 11."

I think with that face you will not deny Evans his pussy touchdowns or his manning award!
Evans is starting the season hotter than any Hokie QB in my memory. Sure, part of it is the system (thankfully), but our QB situation was the biggest question mark going into the season and I'd say we've got a good one.
This thread needs more love, and esp more comments than the Alabama backup transferring.
I like your spirit... but I just don't see that happening.
Bye Week creates more controversy than Jerod Evans.
The Manning Award is gonna look so nice next to the Heisman on his mantle.
Jerod Evans, a junior from Virginia Tech, has been selected as the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week for the fourth week of the 2016 college football season. He earns the honor over seven other Manning Award Stars of the Week in the Allstate Sugar Bowl's Facebook contest.
Nice job of Hokie Nation getting out the vote!
Does anyone have the final vote count? When I last looked - Evans blew away the competition.
Wasn't even close
I'm surprised Evans didn't throw a TD during the BYE week.
Evans had more touchdowns during the BYE week than LOLUVA had fans at their spring game.
