I forget who mentioned this before, (I'm gonna go ahead and assume it was French) while Benedict is a beast he doesn't move so well laterally, which is what Grimes OL is all about.

Benedict is somewhat said to have issues with his knee. I think he tore something in high school and also suffered from nerve dmg. Apparently at times it can feel numb?

He destroyed everything in his knee. I mean like completely obliterated everything holding his leg together. It's been quite a process for him, and I'm pretty darn proud of the guy for toughing it out like he has after what easily could have been a career-ending injury.

My first downvote... how sad. On a side note, a hooker in rugby is generally someone shorter than the two props and thus will be on their tiptoes in a scrum and much like the center is responsible for starting the ball back towards their team, thus the comparison between Wang and a hooker.

If you mean the #2 position on a rugby team (which is called the hooker because they use their feet to "hook" the ball, while being propped up by two [usually bigger] forwards), then yes, he looks like a hooker.

Wondering if Benedict will play in goal line or short yardage situation this year. It would make sense to bring him in to push linemen into the end zone.

Forgive me if i missed it but did French ever do an analysis of Wang's Center performances? I was never sold on him last year at guard...never seemed to get the push on the line. Having to line up on some of Bama's nose tackles is going to be tough for anyone. I am slightly worried there but have trust in Grimes.

I think he might be good against Bama because the center needs to be quick enough to get head position on the nose and hold it just long enough so he can pass off to a guard and bump up to mash at the next level.
I think Wang's got enough quick to do that.

I think he will be. I bet they put him in as a "Tight End" in some goal line or short yardage packages.
If you're talking about the Jumbo package that Stanford (and probably others) has used the past couple years, I heartily approve.
