The ESPN Blog posted this article a little earlier today and I was a little surprised at how much love they were giving Stroman. However after taking a look at some of the stats in the article it looks like Stro is right up there with the best in the ACC right now (statistically at least). I feel like a lot of Hokie fans got down on him after two big, tough matchups over the past 2 years where he was beat by much bigger, stronger receivers, but when it's all said and done he has been as consistent as anybody in our secondary.
Who's the best defensive back in the ACC?
A year ago, it would've been a tough question simply because of all the big-name talent the league had in the defensive backfield, but six members of ACC secondaries were taken in the first 100 picks of the 2016 NFL draft, which has made the question even tougher to answer now.
Our midseason All-ACC team included Cordrea Tankersley and Jadar Johnson from Clemson, Duke's Breon Borders and Virginia Tech's Greg Stroman, but there was plenty of debate over those names.
Here's to you Stro.

Pretty awesome that the top 2 in completion % against are both ours (Stroman and Edmunds).
Stroman tops in almost every category, unsurprisingly.
It's so beautiful. Almost like a mini, Stroman Giftory.
Clearly the second gif is fake, as the weather was so terrible that nobody could possibly have ever made a catch.
According to Tar Heel fans, it was only raining on the Tar Heel receiver.

What's the saying? "Any excuse in a storm."
What's awesome is that Stroman and Edmunds weren't even thought to be our best DBs heading into the season. With Facyson, Alexander, Chuck, and Reynolds in our secondary as well, we're pretty much loaded.
I'm a little biased, but I always thought Terrell was one of our top-2 coverage guys on the team. He was spectacular for as young as he was last year, and the position he and the other DBs were put in.
My concern was that he had higher potential at corner but regardless his physicality will always make him a factor in the run game too.
Hard to argue Edmunds wasn't going to be the best cover safety when that isn't Clark's primary role.
When I saw the headline, I was like Mooooook
Then I was like Strooooooman
Now I'm like Edmuuuuunds
But now that I think about it, I got Facyson my egg.
Stroman will never be a big corner who can go up and box out a receiver or anything, but the man can straight ball. So much fun to watch.
Who owns the backfield?
That slogan at the bottom of the can......
Yeah, if your idea of quality is drinking piss and eating sh*t.
You are too young. Ride the wave, Dos Equis boy.
When healthy, Facyson is still the best cover corner on the team - regardless of what these "experts" and their stats indicate.
I'd rather have Facyson on an island vs a #1 receiver than anybody else. And the coaches seem to think this too from what I've seen.
I thought this too up until most of this season. From what I've seen, he really hasn't had a great year.
