Seniors Seth Allen and Zach LeDay check in at #52 and #71, respectively, in ESPN's initial Top 100 Player Ranking for the 2016-17 season.
Regarding Allen:
Last season, his first for the Hokies, the Maryland transfer averaged 14.7 points per game. He'll need to improve his perimeter shot and his decision-making, but he's a tough, quick guard and plays both ends of the floor.
Regarding LeDay:
LeDay was notably efficient as a scorer last season, and that was as the co-featured scorer (alongside Seth Allen) for the ACC's No. 13-ranked offense. With just about everyone returning in Blacksburg this season, the senior could have even more noteworthy performances in store.

We have so many weapons at the guard positions that I won't be surprised to see Allen's numbers be lesser than last season just from sharing the workload further.
With KBJ banged up, and an untested freshmen in Sy getting the lion's share of minutes at 5 in game 1, Leday will be needed more than ever.
Id wager, that if anybody is going to take home an individual award this season, it's Leday. So much of this season will come down to his consistency in the paint against ACC bigs with NBA talent.
Duke has 6 in the top 50.....damn
Our best player is Justin Robinson.
is KBJ gone for good this season or is it a wait and see kinda thing?
No one has released anything definitive about him, from what I've seen. Some saying he could be back mid-ACC slate, but I'm assuming he'll be out for the entire season. Here's to hoping Sy can develop a lot before the conference games start
Buzz said during the last Tech Talk that KBJ was due for another scan of his surgery during the next week to see how well he was progressing, that the doctors would say alot of mumbo jumbo without committing themselves to anything and then Buzz would be left to discuss the results and status with Kerry and his parents in regards what next. He said Kerry was currently up to about 12-15 minutes of individual workouts at practice but no contact events.
