i don"t expect anyone else to feel as optimistic as do...
I'm drunj, and we just got blown out of the water by the two time defending NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

However, there is a shit ton to look forward too: 1)Tre Edmunsds, is a beast that will be a force to be reckoned with through out the rest of the schedule. 2) The defensive front 7 will be the best in the ACC, and will be our strong suit throughout...
The only question I have, is; who is ID'ing the opposition blitz formations, and our zone run keys...
in spite of lil'Wang playing center, it was evident throughout the game, that Andrew Miller(LG) was the one calling out blitz and and run packages, in addition to determining when the snap would be called for ... duties I thought exclusive to the keystone (center) position...
Potentially positive, if you think like I do, that the center is the ("second") most important position (behind the Qb), and that we had/have two "centers" on the field...
The question that remains is what responsibilities, aside from inside protection (given, protect inside ->out), are the rest of the starting 5 o-lineman responsible for??? (French, please clarify/post your thoughts.)
It just seems odd having the LG determining the blocking keys...
I'm looking forward to the rest of the season, another chance at an ACCCG appearance, and a shot at the title...
But, I digress, we weren't as bad as the rest of the nation (ESPN/gameday crew) thought we would be, especially offensively, and aside from three special teams screw ups, we were in the game till the end and had the opportunity to keep it close.
All in all, keep your feet moving, and your head up, there's still a shit ton of football to be played.
LETS GO, and HOKIE HI.

Let me just say if we have five TDs or less against WCU, we're in real trouble. I know this team will make itself and us proud. Tonight the defense showcased what it was capable of. I can't wait for the Offense and Special Teams to follow suit!
You're trashed but I love it
This looks like my texts when I'm drunk lol
the one time i try to write a coherent/thought out post... and I'm blitzed out of my mind...
oh well, good job/good effort me...
Wait isn't miller right guard and Farris left?
I saw more o line communication in this game than ever which is a good thing regardless where it's coming from. Wang did a great job with snaps too don't recall a bad one.
I was so aghast at the dropped passes, that I really couldn't appreciate how well they did tonight. That being said, I see ALL of our new coaches working out.
I agree, tremendous job all things considered. But as a center, and in the system (basic zone run scheme) I was coached up on, the LG setting the line just seems alien to me.
I don't think its so much that the guards are setting the line as they're (Farris and Miller) more experienced at Center than wang, but are physically more suited to guard than he is. I think I remember reading that Wang still has the responsibility of setting the line, but Farris and Miller are letting him know what they see and helping out when necessary.
