Hit me right in the feels
As sad as I will be on Saturday for Sam and the other seniors playing their last games in Lane, I'm reminded of our Hokie credo blasted on the tunnel as the team takes Worsham Field into Lane Stadium. Everyone is a Hokie for life, and each time we take the field, it's a celebration of the past, present, and future who call Virginia Tech home.
Let's kick the shit out of the Wahoos.
You couldn't be more right. Of all the reasons we love Sam Rogers is because he exemplifies the very qualities that we pride ourselves on looking for in all of our student athletes. Sam is undoubtably a fan favorite and his career has been fairly visible from the beginning. This picture is an excellent reminder that every single one of those Seniors deserves our respect; from the former walk on- turned starter and team captain, to the guy who probably didn't dream of spending his senior year second on the debt chart but steps up to the plate when possible.
Am I the only one that replaces Chuck Norris' name with Sam Rogers in those Ian Spector Chuck Norris fact books?
Now if only they make a sequel to Dodgeball and Sam makes a cameo appearance as a judge, my life would pretty much be complete.

I thankful for our university which is so nostalgic and gives chances to people of all sorts to complete their education, play sports and make lifelong friendships and much much more than that. It's a feeling of community with a strong bond and I feel great when I come home.....this is Home!!!!

Love the quote from his big brother Ben. Ben is exactly as bad ass as you would expect from Sam's big brother and even if you leave out the fire he is no doubt one of the most respected and hardest working people I've ever met. The same attitude and work ethic that earned him so many honors in college helped him launch a successful business right out of college. There is not doubt in my mind that Sam will be successful in whatever he chooses to after he graduates.
