My 1st game in the student section (pregnant wife in 1st sem of grad school at VT and twin babies in the 2nd prevented football attendance, when I was a student). Other than the LOLUVA douches pushing the girls behind us off the bleachers, so they domino'd into us almost knocking me off the bench, it was a great experience.

Okay so I don't know all the details as I was a section over from the real action, but this is what I saw/heard/took part in:
During pregame, whether initiated by the Hokie faithful or otherwise, Blanding was screaming up at the stands that we'll be "seeing his back" *proceeds to thumb at his nameplate*.
After he blew the Cam Phillips touchdown, he received some ribbing as he returned the the bench. Not much reaction from him then, but players around him turned so I know he heard.
Flash forward to the injury to UVA #51 (hope the guy recovers, never like injuries) and Blanding is out on the field screaming and cursing up a storm at his bench during the injury. Hokie fans took this as a prime opportunity to get involved. Poor Smoke got caught in the crossfire (even by a UVA fan down front, pretty funny) and I actually felt bad for him. Blanding was being a bit of a tool though.
On his way off the field after the game, the same section of VT fans was giving him a hard time and he made some gesture at them, I couldn't tell if it was 'the bird' or some other hand gesture, but he wasn't pleased.

What a game. I didn't want to leave north. It was my last game as a student after 5 years. Proud of this team and happy that attending home games finally became fun and stressless again this year

ACCCCG? Bowl game? -- I understand the ACCCG would be hard to get to as a student, but the bowl game should be a good atmosphere regardless of ACCCG outcome.

I'll give UVA a compliment since they could use one after that beatdown. Their uniforms are pretty snazzy. It's a clean, crisp look. Chin up, UVA. At least you'll be stylish while losing the Cup every year.

Their uniforms have been on point all year. I had been telling my UVA friends they needed to do some Herman Moore era orange jerseys and white helmets and they did them (although their orange is a little more red these days). Their blue unis looked good. And today's all white looked great.

So the organization I work with helps clean up the stands after the game and we just witnessed Sam Rogers propose on the field! Both families were watching from a booth in west and came outside to cheer very loudly after she answered yes and kissed. Congrats Sam! I'll post a few pics when I'm not on mobile

Don't know what you heard, but in Bud's interview he said he heard it "pop" in his calf when he jumped after a play - and he didn't just pull it. Trainers gave him some meds and a sleeve, but he is having trouble flexing his foot.
Bud also said he would "self-medicate" tonight though, and he deserves it.

Yeah I noticed him visibly limping over to the defense after a timeout in the 4th. Looked like in alot of pain but of course didnt stop him from drawing up some more pain for the Wahoos!
