I'm sure most of you have heard "Oh, the Atlantic is clearly the better division of the ACC." And I'm sure many of you are thinking that the top three of Clemson, FSU, and Louisville are probably the best three in the conference, but after that, there's a significant dropoff, and most of the Coastal would fit in between.
So, I kept track of the Atlantic vs. Coastal head to head match ups this year.
It went a little different than I expected.
The Atlantic won, 8-6. (ACCCG won't change the edge)
Wake Forest and Louisville were the only two Atlantic schools who swept their cross divisional foes. However, they both played Duke and UVA, the only two Coastal teams to get swept.
Boston College was the only Atlantic team to get swept (by both Techs).
Pitt was the only Coastal team to sweep the Atlantic (Clemson and Syracuse).
That means that 4 Atlantic schools and 4 Coastal schools went 1-1.
Atlantic wins: Wake Forest over Duke and UVA, Louisville over Duke and UVA, Clemson over GT, FSU over Miami, Syracuse over VT, NC State over UNC.
Coastal wins: Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech over BC, UNC over FSU, Pitt over Clemson and Syracuse, Miami over NC State.
EDIT to add Pitt over Syracuse (unless that was really a basketball game...)

Comments
Both uva and duke had their chances against Louisville.
Oh well.
i'm just hoping Clemson "clemsons" the ACCCG and we win
I'm pretty sure the Costal went something like 10-4 last year against the Atlantic
Just to be a dick,

Big 12 (76.90)
ACC Atlantic (76.55)
Big Ten West (75.48)

Alabama must be tired, carrying an entire division the way they are...
Well GT beat UGA but NC State beat Heels, Clemson and FSU both destroyed their East opponents, but then again L'ville lost theirs. I wonder if there will be any movement (for the Atlantic).
