Beamer did his part as well. The most graceful exit imaginable. I'd put this seamless transition up against any other, particularly with a coach who has been around 29 years.

Every time I hear "ACC Coach of the Year" I think of Mike London and everything he was able to accomplish after he won this award. These inner thoughts sully a well deserved award for Fuente. Can the ACC simply rescind their 2011 award? My inner thoughts and the way I perceive this award would greatly appreciate it.

The transition is working
According to this Fuente has already secured
$25K for playing in the ACC Championship Game
$25K for winning coach of the year
$75K for playing in a Tier I ACC bowl (I assume that win or lose on saturday, VT will get a Tier I bowl)
He will get an additional $50K if he wins on Saturday

Whit gets an additional 1.5 months salary for just the team making it to a bowl game.
If it was a Playoff game, its 2 months.
National Championship win an extra $25K.
2016 Base Salary = $493,500.00

ACC Championship Win = $10,000.00
Those numbers were from his base contract, so I am not sure if those numbers have gone up with the extension. Thats just for football.
Oh and if he stays until January 1st, 2017, he gets another $140,000.00 annual incentive bonus.
And Kirk Ferentz got a $500K bonus for an eighth win. Looks like Fu needs to outsource the negotiating.
I have never understood Ferentz's contract, he has to have blackmail material. One of the highest paid under performing coaches in the Country let alone the Big 10.
Considering the $3.2M he makes a year, that $125k - $175k is mostly just to pay the taxes.
