Statline for the #25 Jersey During Regular Season

Bluehokie2006 made a comment on the Woody Baron #25 thread yesterday about a statline for the #25. Little did he know, I was already compiling the stats for a post.

The players selected by game are:

Game Player
vs. Liberty Steven Peoples

at North Carolina Cam Phillips
at Syracuse Joey Slye
vs. Miami Anthony Shegog
at Pittsburgh Divine Deablo
at Duke Chuck Clark
vs. Georgia Tech Adonis Alexander
at Notre Dame CJ Carroll
vs. LOLUVA Sam Rogers

The total stat line, combined as if the #25 was a single player throughout the entire season would be:

Special Teams

#25 5 103 1 3 61 4 260 2 1

#25 7 129 19 127 2

Stats by player are broken down:

Sam Rogers obviously had one of the greatest games of the season in the #25 jersey. All players, however, made a big play in that jersey. Will be cool to see if they continue the tradition next year.

Mmmmm. The 25 does have magic powers.

I like it better that way

Fully dipped dork magic......

See this 25? It goes up to 11.

-What we do is, if we need that extra push, you know what we do? -Put it up to fully dipped? -Fully dipped. Exactly. It's dork magic.

Neat! Thanks for compiling. Kinda surprised no #25s had an interception all year.

No sacks yet for the #25? That bascially guarantees Woody gets one Saturday.

Can you extrapolate for the season another layer, say if 25 had been on offense for 12 games, or on Defense for 12 games, etc?

Interesting thought - yes, I'll do a couple of extra projections this evening, and see where we come up.

Basically, if #25 were performing like that all season, they are Reggie Bush from 2005.

The Dude Abides

I feel like I'm looking at a stat line for Jim Thorpe.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

Eastern Carolina

Now finish up them taters; I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters.

I like the forced fumble stat

Hokies, Local Soccer, AFC Ajax, Ravens

Great job! It's also important to remember that Cam sacked UNC's punter, and didn't Timmy Settle block a FG while wearing 25?

Settle blocked the FG vs. Eastern Carolina, the same game that Phillips blocked the punt. I liked that game

Ah yes, the one where announcers couldn't stop saying "Beamerball"

I can't stop saying Beamerball and expect I'll say it until I die!

I think you need to check the alignment on your dot matrix printer and maybe up the resolution on your scanner when you digitize the printouts.

OR...

Paste from excel into this site then copy the code into your post. Change table class to "blog_statistics" and it will match the TKP formatting.

Example (view page source to see code):

at North Carolina Cam Phillips

vs. Miami Anthony Shegog

Good to know - thanks! Had no idea about that site as I was taking Excel, copy table, paste as image, save image, upload image to image share site. That site is much easier - will make updates when I get home this evening.

This one is less convoluted. The only things you have to change is where it says
, make it
and for the first row, replace with [th] [/th]. replace ] with > in those examples.

Someone who actually knows how to do this junk could explain it better than an old ME who just pokes around on computers all day.

Thanks hokie07ME - I adjusted - took me a little longer to get back on TKP, but thanks for helping out a Pricing Analyst with HTML lessons.

This would be awesome because all of your images are blocked by the office firewalls :-(
All I've got are lots of little 'X' images

I told him I’d crawl on my hands and knees to be the DL coach at Virginia Tech. Now, all of a sudden, I’m sitting in this chair and I told him I’d still crawl on my hands and knees to work here. I just want to be here.

Wouldn't the interesting comparison be how well each player did while wearing 25 compared to their season average?

If we want to see if 25 has magic powers, you need to compare performances by individual. Like if we gave CJ Carroll the 25, and he got 5 catches for 53 yards and a TD, that might not be impressive by itself...but I'm pretty sure that is a big improvement over his season averages.

I think for extra magic for this game, we should have a #25 on offense, a #25 on defense and a #25 special teamer.

Now finish up them taters; I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters.

This...right here...thread and stats...is what I've been waiting for. Thanks!

I don't think chuck clark's tackles and assisted tackles are being added for you're totals. Thanks for putting this together though, just trying to help.

Nice catch! Fixed it. Thanks man!

It's been fun seeing who gets the jersey every week. Glad they started this
up this season.

Excellent.
